WWubbaWubbaWubbaBeautiful and large comfortable rooms with a view, Shower pressure was great. Drinking water dispenser at lift landing provides instant hot and cold water. Rooftop dining and kitchen area was adequate and clean. Gym was sufficient for a casual workout on your travels. Nearby Robinsons mall is huge and provides for your dining and grocery needs.
Now the location… unfortunately Malate smells like piss. It’s just how the area is. All breatheable air has moved to BGC and Makati. My first day I walked along Taft Ave, the main thoroughfare where the LRT tracks run along, it was unbearable. I suggest if you’re walking to Intramuros or the National museums, turn left coming out of the building and walk down Adriatico or Roxas. It’s less putrid near the bay. Avoid Taft at all cost.
The entire team at Lyf I’d encountered, front desk, concierge housekeeping and dining, were all super helpful and smiling always. Bravo, team!

IitsreallyjaineStaying at City Garden Suites Manila turned out to be a great choice for exploring the historic side of Manila.
The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help.
If you’re looking for a hotel that balances comfort, location, and affordability, this is definitely a good option when staying in Manila.
AAnne BorjaWorth the penny! Excellent location coz it is very near Malate Church which is the first thing I considered coz we stayed during the Holy week. And it is also near malls. 👍🏻
AAT HervasI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From check-in to check-out, the staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions and restaurants. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, and I would gladly stay here again.
AAnonymous UserThe room was clean and has a big space. But when we checked in, seems like the utensils and mugs were used, they did not replace it or did not wash it. But overall stay was good and the service was good, the breakfast is good but they just offer only 4 menu. And also, outside noise is disturbing specially when midnight and someone is walking outside because of the wood floor.
AAnonymous UserThe location is good, close to Intramuros and the coast. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's a nice walk to see the city. There's a large supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient.
Many of the staff were very kind. Thanks to them, I had a pleasant stay, which really made up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The doorman who opened the door for me every day even stopped an Uber taxi for me at the end and opened the door. He was very pleasant, and I left feeling good. Thank you.
Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the omelets made fresh every day were delicious, and since it was a buffet, I was able to eat my fill. For this price, there's even a small gym, so I think the cost-performance is good.
From here on, I'll list the downsides, but even with those, I still felt it was good value for money (again, thanks to the kind staff). The hotel is old and dusty. My room had no view from the window. The strange doll on the bedside lamp was a mystery (lol). The room was reasonably spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. However, when you remove the key card, everything turns off, so it gets hot again when you go out. There are no amenities at all, so I recommend bringing your own from home. There's no box of tissues either. There's only one roll of toilet paper, so if you use it as tissue, you'll run out. For towels, there's only a bath towel; no face towel. Maybe you can ask the front desk for a toothbrush? The toilet is the kind where you shouldn't flush paper. Please be careful.
AArmie07The room and sheets were clean, and the location was very convenient since it is just within walking distance of Robinsons, making it easy to grab snacks or buy necessities. However, the room felt a bit cramped because the toilet and bath are positioned near the entrance. The main concern was the lack of soundproofing, as loud voices from nearby rooms could easily be heard, especially during afternoon and evening rest hours, which made it quite disturbing. For our 3 nights stay, they didnt replenish our toiletries/amenities. We requested for a room make up but they have they’re time limit for it, so they just change our towels instead as requested. Overall, we had our great stay since most of the time we are out.
AAnonymous UserStayed at Anex Hotel Manila because of its convenient location near the Embassy of the United States of America in Manila. The room was spacious and comfortable in terms of size, which I appreciated. However, cleanliness could definitely be improved. The rug and shower curtain had visible stains, and the floor looked dirty during our stay. I also encountered a cockroach in the hallway, which was disappointing. Basic amenities such as slippers and a dental kit were only provided upon request. Overall, the location is very practical, especially for embassy-related appointments, but housekeeping and maintenance need improvement.
NNaneshThe view from the window is good. The room is clean, but not very pleasant because of ants and one cockroach. And the kitchen area was generally unpleasant. There's a large shopping center around the hotel, which might brighten up your stay; otherwise, you'll encounter a lot of homeless people and street vendors on the street.

22pac_eternalSo, i came to manila alone. Hoping to have a good time. Spent 28 days in this hotel and explored the surronunding areas. By the end of the trip i met my babae and we where having a good time. Long story short... the hotel was well worth the money, as the view was great and my girl got pregnant. So, its a lucky room i guess too. You pay for all the amenaties.
That was one down point but other than that it was fine and i had good nights/late night fun.. come and try it for yourself.
