Zorro MrI waited two hours after arriving at the hotel for a room to be ready, finally checking in after 3 PM. They assigned me room 1720, but the key card didn't work. A floor attendant had to open the door for me. When I went to the front desk to get a new key card, they told me they had given me the wrong room. I didn't think much of it and got a different, slightly smaller room, but the facilities were decent. After a tiring day, I wanted to rest, but there was a constant, distinct noise. I called the front desk, and they confirmed there was no renovation or construction. The lobby manager took the call and said if the noise persisted after ten minutes, they would move me. However, the noise continued. It wasn't until my fifth call that the lobby manager explained there were three cargo elevators next door, used by property management, and he had asked them to stop. Yet, they kept running, and the noise persisted. By 10:10 PM, the lobby manager's solution was to give me two earplugs and offer a discount the next day when leadership was in, possibly moving me to a single-bed room. If I disagreed, I could check out and leave.
**Service:** The on-duty manager's training is severely lacking. I went downstairs at 11 PM to find him/her, and when they couldn't resolve the issue, they just stood there silently, avoiding direct communication. Other staff members had to apologize on the manager's behalf. If there are known issues with a room, they should be addressed proactively instead of sacrificing the guest's experience and time. They should prepare better and avoid assigning elevator-adjacent rooms to customers.
**Facilities:** The much-hyped Dyson hairdryer was broken, only blowing cool air. The entryway sensor light flickered constantly throughout the night due to what seemed like current interference. The electronic curtains worked well, and the whole-house lighting control system was quite good. However, with the flickering entryway light, combined with the incessant elevator and moving noises, it was no different from being in hell. Be wary of room 1726. I recommend the hotel not sell this room; it's too noisy right next to the elevators. And the hotel clearly knows this but pretends otherwise.
**Hygiene:** I stepped on a giant cockroach while waiting for the elevator, it felt like crushing a plastic bottle. Nobody cleaned it up until I checked out. Unbelievable.
**Environment:** I didn't take photos, but the window overlooks the city with no scenic view. I found a similar selfie taken by another guest online for reference.

Guest UserOn my first day visiting Shunde, I stayed at Atour. The room was really old, and the bathroom facilities showed clear signs of wear and tear. The service was cold and unwelcoming, which significantly detracted from the overall experience. The next day, I switched to the Orange Hotel next door, and it was a complete game-changer – the difference was like night and day! The room featured smart amenities like electric curtains and a smart toilet, and it was spotless with no strange odors. The front desk staff were warm and attentive during check-in, and they were always quick to assist with any request. The value for money and the overall experience here absolutely surpassed my stay at the Atour Hotel next door! The lobby has a very comfortable vibe, and its proximity to the subway entrance makes getting around super convenient. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting OCT.

Guest UserThe room was very spacious and clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Downstairs, there's an amazing variety of food, so much so that we couldn't try it all in a few days. The Ferris wheel park was perfect for an evening stroll after dinner. It was a great travel experience overall.

Anonymous UserThe room was spacious and quiet, and the kind lady at the front desk even upgraded our room type.
Facilities: The main issue was that the Wi-Fi was incredibly unstable, and screen mirroring was very laggy. Another big problem was that screen mirroring wasn't linked to individual rooms; anyone could cast to any room in the hotel. This meant our TV kept getting interrupted by other people casting to our screen, which was very annoying.
Also, I'm not sure if it was the mattress or the pillows, but they weren't very comfortable. My husband and I are usually sound sleepers, but we woke up multiple times every night. My husband never dreams, but he was dreaming every single night here.
Didn't take any photos, so I'm using food pictures instead.

Quite good, highly recommend staying here. I compared it with Crowne Plaza and Venus Royal, and chose Venus Royal – no regrets! As soon as I got out of the car, the big brother from the Tmall store next door warmly invited me for tea; Foshan people are just so kind. The hotel's location is excellent, with Ancestral Temple and Nanfeng Ancient Kiln nearby, making it convenient to get anywhere. The room is large, clean, and tidy. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly, provided detailed information, and responded promptly. Breakfast is abundant and distinctive, with an unbeatable view from the 37th floor. Diagonally opposite, there's a new DNA shopping mall with Dot Dim Sum, congee hot pot, and everything you could want, so you can eat something different every day. Downstairs at the hotel, you can play billiards, watch movies, eat steamed spare ribs, get a Thai SPA – there's plenty of food, drink, and entertainment. I'd love to come back again.

Guest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and spacious. The balcony offered a view right into the heart of the lake, making it feel like we were staying in an ancient town. The natural scenery of the water town, with its flourishing flora and fauna, was beautiful. The various themed parks were also large, and it was very convenient and easy to navigate with our own stroller throughout.
