4-Star Hotels in Hurghada

I recently stayed in the Sunrise Alma Bay for 8 days and the hotel atmosphere was just great. The hotel staff were so helpful. My room cleaner Ibrahim was so accommodating, friendly and efficient...and an expert in towel art! Emad at the pool bar was so welcoming and the service was excellent. Hamdy and Mohammed in the towel station/by the beach were friendly faces every morning and so helpful. Anastasia in Guest Relations came around to our table every breakfast and was able to action any little requests we had. She was very impressive with her notebook and actioning things so quickly. And lastly, when I asked to extend my room for a few hours (and very reasonable additional cost) on my last day, the Hotel Manager arranged for me to be moved to a suite on the seafront and the concierge Mahmoud was so kind in helping with my luggage and room change. I have been visiting Egypt for 10 years now and this stay has been a highlight for me because of the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, the delicious food, the pool (one of the best I have seen), and the beach front with pier and lagoona just make it the perfect location. The added bonus is that it is only about 20 mins from Hurghada airport. I would recommend this hotel to families, couples, singles and will definitely be coming back again. Thank you. Ciara

Pros: The service was excellent, and I didn't experience any racial discrimination. The staff pushed a cart for our luggage on the way to our room, explaining everything clearly as we went, even inside the room. When we went to the pool, the attendant there greeted us warmly. The hotel management seems quite strict, for example, dishes and drinks are cleared very promptly. When you first arrive, a server might ask if you'd like something to drink. Most of what the hotel offers is included in the accommodation fee, so I'd say this hotel offers great value for money. The room itself was very comfortable; the bedding didn't pill and the fabric felt normal. The mini-fridge also had some complimentary drinks. The buffet felt pretty good, and Chinese guests should find it quite palatable. Eating at the buffet while watching seagulls, boats, and the Red Sea view was really lovely. Cons: We tried many of the bars at this hotel. The one next to the buffet served drinks that tasted watered down, especially diluted, like drinking water. However, the drinks at the other bars were quite normal, so we ended up going to the bar on the floor above the buffet. The bar open until late was also good. Personally, I don't like being prompted for reviews; for example, after the pool attendant greets you, they might ask about your experience and encourage you to write a Google review. Of course, I genuinely liked this hotel and found it to be very good with decent value. And this review on Trip.com is written voluntarily, by the way. I understand that perhaps competition is high with several hotels nearby, but it just gave me a feeling of being 'pressured to perform,' and I'm here to relax, not to feel that kind of pressure. If I truly loved the hotel, I would proactively recommend it. Although some dishes in the buffet were palatable for Chinese guests, eating it for two consecutive days, even with some variations, meant the flavors were still quite similar and became tiring. However, compared to food outside the hotel, it was indeed much better. Suggestions: I recommend adding some easy-to-make Chinese dishes to the buffet, even something simple like tomato and egg soup, which is easy to prepare and learn. The variety of soups was too limited; I tried them, and while Chinese people might be able to drink them, they couldn't really have more than a few sips – they were either too salty or too bland.

1. The room was a bit old but reasonably clean. There were some pilling on the sheets and duvet covers, but it was acceptable. 2. Our room was quite far from the main area, and the Wi-Fi connection was intermittent, which was a bit inconvenient. 3. It's a few minutes' walk to the beach, but the pool is right outside the door, which was very pleasant. 4. As an all-inclusive hotel, the food was a big factor for us. If I were to rate this hotel, I'd say the food accounts for 60% and other activities for 40%. However, the food was genuinely not good. For the food, I can at most give it two points. After eating, I just felt full and a bit uncomfortable, as if the ingredients weren't fresh or the cooking quality was poor. I believe both the ingredient quality and cooking skills need significant improvement. 5. We arrived at 4 AM by bus, earlier than expected. The front desk asked us to wait for a while and then allowed us to check in early at 8 AM, and even let us have breakfast. Honestly, the service was quite good, but the food was terrible.

My stay was okay, but my experience was ruined by a taxi driver who agreed on 8 euros from the airport to the apartment. He demanded 20 euros after arrival in the apartment. ( My 2 friends paid 5 euros to a hotel few steps away) It took over 2 hours to negotiate the fee, involving 2 members from the government authority. I slept late and felt exhausted the next day. Staff at the apartment were helpful. Good breakfast on the roof. Kitchen was useful. Close walking distance to the high street. But the tiles in the bathroom were not clean, toilet seat kept dislocating from screws, drainage in shower cubicle was not working properly. My feet were covered with water for about 10 cm high when finishing the shower. I did not like it.

property, but service and logistics need improvement I have mixed feelings about our stay. On the positive side, the hotel is new and very well-designed. The restaurant is spacious with great indoor and outdoor seating, and the breakfast was decent. The beach is stunning—very quiet with crystal clear water—but be careful entering the sea as there are many rocks at the shoreline. However, there are several drawbacks: Service: The staff seems very inexperienced. We were charged to upgrade from a single to a double room even though the website listed them at the same price. At breakfast, we had to ask for coffee multiple times before it actually arrived. Facilities: Surprisingly, the main pool is not heated, and there is no elevator, which is worth noting if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Location: You are quite isolated here. You definitely need a car or a shuttle to get anywhere. Overall, it’s a nice physical space, but the management needs to better train the staff to match the ”new” feel of the resort.

One night Valentine’s Day event for 6 of us. Flow made a real effort with teddies & love hearts around the complete hotel. Given a spacious modern room very nice.  Early check in , later check out all good. Food on main evening lacking in choice & quality Rang out of red wine 7.30 & white by 8.30 pm - sad really. Overall, it was quite good. The location is excellent, and it has its own small private beach. It's an all-inclusive hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all pretty average, but there was always something edible. If you have high standards for food quality, this might not be the place for you. However, it's worth mentioning that the decor is quite old; it definitely isn't a 2023 hotel. Many of the doors were broken, making it very difficult to unlock them. Also, my room didn't receive welcome fruits and drinks, even though all my friends did. I'm not sure why that was.

We had a pleasant stay at Siva Golden Bay Makadi. The hotel is beautiful with an incredible view. Everything is very clean, and our room was spotless. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. A special shout-out to Ahmed, who takes care of the room cleaning, and Hussein Ali, who kindly offered us a late check-out. The beach is magnificent, the pool is very clean, and the facilities are varied and of good quality. Regarding the food, it was okay. The afternoon barbecue was quite good, as was dinner, but we really didn't like the breakfast. The only downside is that the hotel is far from the city center, but it's perfect for getting away from it all. We didn't encounter any French tourists at the hotel; there's a strong Slavic presence, so it definitely felt like a complete change of scenery. We recommend it a thousand times over.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Stay at The Grand Hotel Hurghada (24/7 – 30/7) I had an absolutely wonderful stay at **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** from **July 24th to July 30th**, and I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the entire team for making our vacation truly memorable. The **food** was simply outstanding. The quality, taste, and unbelievable variety exceeded all expectations. Every meal offered something new and delicious, making dining one of the highlights of our stay. The **staff** deserve special recognition. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were always smiling and genuinely happy to help, serving guests with dedication and pleasure. Their positive attitude made us feel at home from the very first day. A special thank you goes to **Mr. Nader** at the Reception. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hotel reception managers I have ever met. He is highly professional, courteous, and an excellent problem-solver. Any issue was handled quickly and efficiently, always with a smile. I would also like to thank **Mr. Mohamed Moawad** from the Food & Beverage Department. He is one of the finest professionals at the hotel—extremely humble, welcoming, respectful, and genuinely caring about the guests' comfort. Another person who deserves special praise is **Chef Mahmoud**. He is simply one of the best. His passion and dedication are reflected in the outstanding quality of the food served throughout the resort. The team at the **Eastern Restaurant** was exceptional. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. **Mostafa** and **Ashraf** and **Mohamed**deserve special recognition for their excellent service and kindness. Dining there was always a wonderful experience. The **Room Service** was also excellent. **Majed** is a kind-hearted gentleman who serves guests with genuine dedication, professionalism, and a cheerful attitude. His hard work did not go unnoticed. The **beach** is beautiful, sandy, clean, and perfect for families. There were always plenty of available sunbeds and enough space for everyone to relax comfortably without feeling crowded. The hotel offers a great selection of restaurants: * The International Restaurant next to the Reception. * The Pasta Restaurant on the second floor. * The Eastern Restaurant with its outdoor grill near the Reception. * The large white beach restaurant serving Shawarma, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Pizza. * Another beach restaurant serving snacks and French fries. Every one of these restaurants offered excellent food and service. The only point I would suggest improving is the **swimming pool area**. The hotel has only one main pool, which is not enough considering the large number of guests staying at the resort. Overall, my family and I had an outstanding holiday. The excellent hospitality, delicious food, beautiful beach, and the genuine kindness of the staff made this one of our best vacations. I highly recommend **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** and look forward to returning again.

Let’s start with that the team went above and beyond so that we have the best experience. We got a very clean and modern room but was on the ground floor. We asked for a room on a higher floor so they showed us different options but clarified that they weren’t renovated yet. The next day they moved us to a renovated room on a higher floor (the photos attached). The team’s response is quick. We had breadkfast and dinner included. The breakfast is a variety of cheese, turkey and chicked slices, baked goods, pancakes eggs, sausages, vegetables, fruits and drinks, etc. The dinner we had was mainly salads, rice, kufta (minced beef with spices, cooked potatoes, duck, baked goods, and deserts. Finally, the resort has access to the beach/sea, it is across the street though and a 10 min walk away.  Thanks for the team for making our experience and vacation as chill and relaxing as possible.
