Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe room, while not spacious, was very clean and tidy. At the front desk, guests can help themselves to complimentary amenities like toothbrushes, combs, face masks, and facial cleansers. The restaurant also offers free coffee, ice cream, and noodles during specific hours. Breakfast was quite good as well. Don Quijote is right across from the hotel, and a pedestrian street is just diagonally opposite. The hotel is also very close to Sendai Station, making its location excellent.
JJoyee LaiFrom the moment we entered the hotel, the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. We were warmly welcomed with a Nespresso coffee machine available as a welcome drink, which was a very nice touch.
The room was slightly more spacious than most hotels in Japan, beautifully designed, and very clean—making our stay comfortable from the start.
During our stay, we experienced the Aomori earthquake. We could clearly feel the shaking, and our phones received emergency alerts, so we quickly evacuated using the outdoor emergency stairs. When we reached the lobby, a staff member named 佐藤 (Sato) was already there, calmly reassuring guests. He noticed a lady who had run out barefoot and quietly brought her a pair of slippers without making a scene—such a thoughtful gesture.
Mr. Sato was friendly and attentive during check-in, and during the earthquake he remained calm, clear, and informative. His professionalism and kindness left a deep impression on us.
Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service and genuine care for guests. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserThe location is fanastic. It is close to Sendai JR Station, Sendai Morning Market and shopping streets. It is especially important given we have 2 ninety-year-old ladies in our group.
Breakfast was great. The dining hall was of Art Deco design. It had a mixture of western and Japanese dishes. The amount was plentiful and quality was good.
The onsen was free. There were jacuzzi and old water bath. It is pity that there was no open air bath.
We would consider a return if we happen to come back to Sendai.
GGuest UserJust a few minutes' walk from Hirose-dori subway station, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, surrounded by numerous dining options. Having a convenience store on the ground floor is also a reassuring plus.
We stayed in a moderate non-smoking room for two. While the queen-sized bed was comfortable, it felt a bit cramped for two, though it would likely feel quite spacious for a solo traveler. The mattress firmness was just right, and the air purifier was a welcome amenity.
The bath area was nicely separated from the toilet, preventing any concerns about water splashing out, and the rain shower was a pleasant feature.
The front desk staff were friendly and left a positive impression.
One minor point is that the air conditioning throughout the hotel, including the lobby and hallways, felt a bit too strong. The complimentary coffee service in the lobby was a nice touch, but it was a shame that it couldn't be taken back to the room.
Overall, it's a clean hotel with excellent service, and we left feeling very satisfied.
PPPkwokThe hotel is clean and tidy. It’s unfortunate that the weather is really bad on the day of my arrival. So I’m basically forced to stay at the hotel and enjoy the hot spring. It’s also really great that they provide free ice pop outside the hot spring and coffee downstairs.
OOliveycWe came to Akiu mainly to see Lu Xun's former residence, but the hotel itself was also great. Although there wasn't much of a view outside the window, Akiu Great Falls is just a short drive away. The front desk gave me a room on the top floor. The food, especially, deserves a special mention. My boyfriend ate 6 plates of the freshly grilled beef tongue, but he was still outdone by the Japanese gentleman next to us – I counted, he had 7 plates! I won't post other pictures as I see everyone else has posted plenty; I'll just share one of the massage chair. You can enjoy the view while getting a massage. It's very quiet during the day, and you can use it as much as you like without needing coins, which is much more generous than many other hotels. The parking lot is also spacious, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot if you return late.

Great
AAkanishijinI stayed at this hotel in Sendai ten years ago, and it introduced me to the wonderful world of Japanese bathhouses. Ever since, I always choose hotels with large public baths when I'm in Japan, so this place holds a special place in my heart. I picked it again this time, and while it's definitely showing its age, the service and cleanliness are still excellent. My only minor complaint is the lack of power outlets by the bed, which was a bit inconvenient.
LLIANGLlANGThe vending machine doesn't accept new banknotes yet, so I had to ask the cleaning lady for old ones. Every time I go to do laundry, I have to walk through the lobby, basically shamelessly in my slippers and pajamas. I wish the laundry room was on the second floor. The currency exchange machine should be near the laundry room, but I couldn't find it and frankly, I was too lazy to look (=TェT=). I also couldn't find a dry cleaning bag in the room; it would be great if one could be provided for every guest.
CC.k.l.I stayed at this hotel due to a foot injury. I originally thought I could eat all three meals – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – at the hotel since they have three restaurants. Breakfast was abundant, and the semi-buffet lunch was reasonably priced. However, I was a bit disappointed that for dinner, the only option was some food at the 14th-floor bar. When checking out, the front desk helped me call a taxi to the airport for 6000 JPY, but the meter showed 6800 JPY upon arrival at the airport, so I saved 800 JPY. Thumbs up for that!
GGuest UserThe hotel room is very large and has a terrace. The bed is also very large and there is a massage chair. The breakfast is very rich and you can view the golf course. The location is very good. I will stay again next time.
