Very good hotel and location. All staff we dealt with were pleasant and friendly. The hotel is clean and well maintained, rooms were very nice. Be aware that the low priced rooms (at least mine) had a view of a wall. The rooftop pool was great, lots of places to sit and courteous staff. Close to 5th Ave and a short walk to the beaches. I'd stay again for sure.

The room is very spacious, it is a suite, with a simple kitchenette, you can cook some eggs and boil water, it is highly recommended for families with children. We stayed at the Viva Azteca Hotel for 7 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we entered our room, the small gestures made for our anniversary made us very happy. The food and evening shows were very good. There are plenty of places to visit around the hotel. It is also within walking distance to the 5th Avenue in the center. Property was developed in 2017 - but similar to other constructions in Mexico it was developed hastily and with poor materials. The wear and tear on the property, and lack of maintenance is noticeable. As for the plumbing situation, the stench of sewage came from the bathroom every night. When the neighbours showered, you could hear the water system very loudly. In general, it was more of a 3.5- 4 star hotel - definitely not 5.

Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing because the room category I had booked and which was more expensive was not available when I checked in. The room I was assigned afterwards was so loud that I asked to be changed because it was impossible to sleep. The staff claimed that the hotel was fully booked, but rooms were available to book on various booking platforms! Strange.
