Arrived at 4pm & got the last parking space, as others have said spaces are tight, I had to get in & out of the passenger door On checking in I was told that I had booked the meal deal, I didn't think I had but was told that as I had paid online I couldn't have a refund. This lead me to not giving 5 stars. I was told I couldn't have a table until 8pm but when I chanced my luck at 7.30pm the restaurant wasn't full. Service was very slow, I had considered having a desert but as the couple on the next table had been waiting 30 mins for there's I didn't bother they were still waiting as I left, I was surprised to see they were not there at breakfast. In all I think it took me 2hrs to have a 2 course meal from the limited choices available from the meal deal menu resulting in that I didn't have time to go into town.

In the countryside in Stratford in a beautiful timber beamed building. The room was dark but spacious. We had the family room with a double and two single. Breakfast was included. No menus but the waiter said any English breakfast combination which was great. I had two poached eggs. The only problem was a lack of communication regarding the usual route to find the hotel being closed due to road works. Navigating a one way system in an unfamiliar town with no email or call to let us know how we were to get to the hotel was extremely stressful and put us 1.5 hours behind the schedule to arrive. This could have been sorted if the hotel had contacted trip.com with the landline provided at booking and explained about road works so I could have been forwarned.

We spent one night here. The Hotel is in a small village just outside Stratford. There is not much outside space other than parking. A warm welcome at Reception and felt totally safe with the COVID arrangements. The reception area was very clean as was our room (No.1 on the. ground floor). Indeed you would have thought it was a brand new room. The facilities in the room were excellent. Large TV with Movie channels. The walk-in shower was very clean. We ate in the Saddles Bar and the food was excellent. The breakfast service was great and the food was top quality. I have tried to find something to find fault with but I can't. Even the price was very reasonable.

Great welcome from Steve host who was so kind with all my faffing around and rebooking needs, Really comfortable rooms, great en-suite shower in the twin, lovely private bathroom for sole use of the King room (please do not be put off by this as the room is quite separate to others on the floor (as in turn right or left at the top of the stairs and very tastefully curtained off for privacy.)). The property has beautiful- views, lovely. 20 mins pleasant walk to the Cotswold Distillery- great afternoon out - tasting. (Apparently look on Groupon for offers) Dinner at Feldon Valley Golf Club “The Kitchen” next door to B&B delicious. Lizzy gave us a lift (AND offered to pick us up - how generous?) but we walked back (8 mins) with a decent torch (do not forget this townies if you are out at night) Wildlife around there lovely, villages beautiful . The breakfast provided by Steve and the talented Lizzy was hands down the best ever. Choice, quality, home made in the extreme, And the four of us have stayed in quite a few places right around the globe. If you need a place to stay in this area, I would say , stop looking and book here. Excellent.

A special thanks to Rejo and Eve, who were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent, largely due to the thoughtful suggestions from the staff, especially Rejo, who guided us through the menu and ensured we had the best options. The wine selection was perfect, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Disadvantages: Of course, the hotel is a villa change, so there is no elevator inside, there are heavy boxes of their own attention.
