"Located in downtown Barrie, there are many restaurants and an Asian supermarket nearby. It’s also very close to the lakeside and the GO Train station. I stayed here twice because it’s hard to find such a cost-effective, clean, and comfortable hotel in Toronto. Many hotels in the Toronto area don’t allow you to open the windows, but here you can enjoy fresh air. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.❤️"

Great
GGuest UserThe bed and pillows are very comfy, staffs wirh the front desk are all very nice, the breakfast is good enough for us, the location is great for restaurants and only a short drive to blue mountain village, we did enjoy the 2 nights stay, thank you.
MManThe location is great, the centre of Collingwood, close to everything. The room was clean and bed is big. Free continent breakfast with cereal, bagel and sausages, standard quality. The only thing that may require improvement is the dental kit, the toothbrush is very poor quality.
GGuest UserWe needed a room due to weather conditions and being from out of the area. We were attending my daughter's wedding and had to make some very last minute changes which included my dog. The Hampton Inn was very accommodating. The location was perfect, the food and staff at the Hamptons in Barrie were exceptional and the accommodation was perfect. I suffer from PTSD and having my dear dog with me has helped immensely when staying at a hotel. I was very thankful that I was able to have her there. The staff and other guests loved her as she is a very sociable girl. Thank you for helping me with my last minute dilemma. I must commend all of your staff especially the lady who works preparing for the breakfast rush and doing double duty cleaning rooms. I am sorry I did not get her name. Thank you for a wonder stay.

GGuest UserWas overall good, but the heater in my room had a ticking sound that kept going off the middle of the night and we had trouble sleeping. Made a comment about it in the morning and didn’t seem like the front desk was going to do anything about it.
GGuest UserA typical chain hotel with the expected equipment and dimensions of the room. Not all new, but still good in shot. Only breakfast was a little very easy. The price/performance ratio was still good at just under €100.
RRick HardyAll fine, except in advance I asked for a earlier check in than 3:00pm. Was hoping to get in for 2:00pm. I got told on arrival no rooms ready yet.
Seems funny that since check out time is 11:00am at the latest, no rooms would be ready until 3:00pm.
Besides everyone does not wait to 11:am to check out out. Others trying to check in also told same thing.
I even did advance check in day prior on line like they asked for.
I was told check back in at 2:30pm maybe a room would be ready.
Maybe hotel has magic room cleaners who clean all rooms at once just before 3.00pm.
Does seem they are lacking in service help or bad system.
May not go back in future.
YYUDONGIt's good in a budget hotel, near the highway intersection on the edge of the city - convenient transportation and there are many large supermarkets next to it. I didn't expect the room to be quite big. During the epidemic, only breakfast was provided at the front desk. It is understandable that the room was not cleaned. After staying for three days, only myself will be able to keep it clean. The small city is still beautiful - the lake view is beautiful.
GGuest UserNice clean place, big room. We got a room on the second floor and farthest from reception and there is no elevator and with the indoor swimming pool on the lower floor that meant a lot of walking and climbing stairs.
Our units door was out of sorts, very difficult opening and shutting it.
it is 10 minutes ride from Blue mountain village where most the action is.
No restaurant of own, there is a restaurant Gustav in the building which gives a measly 10% discount after charging high prices . However no other nearby pocket friendly food options except at the blue mountain village
GGuest UserThe service was very friendly and quick. Hotel room was spacious and clean. The only thing was the people who had a room above us sounded like they were pacing the floors all the way through the night (4am!) , but that is not the hotels fault though.
Overall our stay was enjoyable.
