We booked a 2 bedroom villa and paid a lot for the extra room only to find that we had a living area with beds squeezed into it and one bedroom. This is a place that needs an update and a big tidy up. The gardens are damp and overgrown and the staircase up to the villa was hard to navigate safely because of a pile of vegetation at the base. A big disappointment.

Everything was very clean and the location was cool by the river. Reception service was a bit unfriendly and there was no water pressure in the shower (unfortunately there was no temperature control either) / no restaurant for breakfast, but there was a kettle in the room. OK for passing through

It’s an old rundown dingy place I’m sorry to say. 60 year old stove with one broken element, dripping tap, leaking toilet cistern, nowhere to hang clothes. Requested our room to be serviced and it wasn’t. Grossly overpriced. Would not recommend

Couldn't check in early or even on time, facilities in room broken, rude and unhelpful staff who made unauthorized charges from our credit card. Ruined our few days on north island. Do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else to stay

Cleanliness needs improvement, the location was nice, no breakfast and other food not available due to lack of staff, breakfast opposite in the restaurant, wifi OK, coffee and tea and kettle available, OK for passing through

I suggest people Google the operators of this property before booking. The trading name is Bachcare and their service and communication is terrible. We booked for a weeks holiday for our wedding anniversary and had to pay the full amount up front, 5 months before our planned "special" trip. A cyclone hit the country and a state of emergency was declared advising people not to travel. We advised the company to cancel our accommodation a month prior and told they would not refund our money as there was a way to get to the property via diversions. Numerous other complaints of a similar nature by others.
