必須給山西飯店五星好評。晚上很晚才到，酒店已經點燈，院內古香古色，酒店大廳大氣磅礴，服務人員辦理入住十分高效快速，服務態度非常優秀，早餐中餐自助餐很高檔，吃喝符合南北各地口味。離各個景點都很近。我們溜達去了鐘樓，酒店的一側可以入文瀛公園，裏面能看到山西人鍛鍊放鬆的景象，退房的行李都是酒店幫助拿上車，服務周到。重要重要的一點是我們住二樓都特別安靜，沒有任何吵鬧的聲音，隔音十分好。就是淋浴稍微水流小點，但是可以叫前台的，太冷了，我們來的這天下雨，沒有特別在意洗浴，就沖涼即可。滿意，也會告訴來太原的朋友首選山西飯店。

衞生：衞生衹能説是中規中矩吧，可能是因為房間內的陳設都趨於陳舊了，所以沒有很乾凈明亮的感覺，相較於外面的華麗大氣來説，房間內顯得比較“內斂”。
環境：山西飯店的外表和周邊環境自不必多言，宏偉雄壯的建築羣，古色古香、雕樑畫棟的建築風格，唯一感到意外的是入口處在一個小巷子裏，不過行走不遠就是一幢古樓和酒店集羣，周邊還有著名的純陽宮，酒店房卡可以免費參觀哦~離柳巷等步行街也不遠，毫無疑問的屬於商業圈的一環。
服務：因為居住的時間較短，沒能太多體驗到這裏的服務。在第二天早餐的時候餐廳的服務人員態度不錯。
設施：房間內的設施衹能説是差強人意。雖然夠用但對於這個檔次的酒店來説還有很大的進步空間，飲用水給的很充足，而且有一個大幕可以投影，算是比較好的地方。房間外的設施非常優秀，無論是十一層的餐廳還是一樓大堂的咖啡機飲料都很滿意，其他的設施也很豐富但時間倉促沒有使用便不做評價了。
綜合體驗：山西飯店的作為歷史悠久的山西省地標性建築，綜合體驗自不必多言。衹説幾個自身比較關注的地方：第一，優點在於餐廳，第二天的早餐種類不可謂不多樣，各類菜式一應俱全，還有幸小酌了一杯餐廳供應的汾酒，口感極佳；第二，從居住環境上來説，這種比較偏老式的裝潢風格或是山西飯店作為歷史傳承的應有之義，但對於那些偏好精緻內部裝飾、追求現代設計風格以及傾向於年輕化審美的羣體而言，這裏的選擇可能需要見仁見智了。
