I found myself having to stay in Taiyuan due to the outbreak preventing me going home. After several phone calls I finally found this hotel that would receive foreign guests. The staff were very polite and I particularly wish to thank the front desk staff and the concierge who helped me with the various paperwork needed when I arrived. The room was very clean, well furnished and maintained. A fruit basket was delivered which I thought was a nice touch. Living so close to Taiyuan it is not somewhere I would usually need to stay but should the need arise again I would not hesitate to do so. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who asks me about a suitable hotel or if you are planning to stay in Taiyuan. The location is very convenient. Lots of food options and things to do nearby. All in all, Shanxi Hotel deserve praise.

The hotel lobby is on the 5th floor. It is not particularly large, but surprisingly has a tropical feel, and there is a little bear playing the piano~ The front desk lady is very gentle and helped us upgrade to a suite, so lucky! The only five-star hotel in Taiyuan's North District. Although the facilities are not the newest, the sanitary conditions are good. The rooms facing the road are also very quiet. The sound of firecrackers during the Chinese New Year is not too obvious. In the summer, you can take a walk in the lawn area behind the hotel. There is a Dazhanggui Restaurant next to it. It is three kilometers away from Wanda Plaza and is convenient for shopping and dining. The room attendant Gai Xiaodang and Fu Honghong gave me millet porridge and the restaurant waiter Mile gave me a small gift. I was very satisfied with the whole stay. Recommended!

The Parkview hotel is a five star hotel with modest price. The location js perfect and convenient. The hotel rooms are extremely well maintained. My room had a direct view of Yingze park and the night scene was spectacular. The hotel’s breakfast buffet features an amazing collection of local delicacies and it was hard not to overeat. The Chinese restaurants serve outstanding dishes. The front desk staff are polite and helpful. Ms Wang Zewei was especially helpful. I would absolutely return time.
