We have just had the best hotel stay at Taychreggan , all areas of the hotel are spotless, a very well loved and cared for hotel run by Michelle and her very efficient team . The food was delicious , what a choice at breakfast and we enjoyed a la carte menu in the evening , Sunday roast was the best I have tasted . We had a lovely room overlooking the Loch with the best bathroom , best night sleep , so peaceful , we look forward to returning to this hotel in the future . Well done Michelle .

Lovely relaxing small hotel with friendly welcoming staff and a location to die for. Room was spotlessly clean and well maintained if some what dated my o ly issue was the bed which was way too soft for me but having said that it wasn't saggy or clunky just too soft for my taste

You arrive to the hotel via a very fun 'Mario kart' single track road. It is right at the very, and gives Agatha Cristie vibes. The hotel is directly next to a loch and surrounded by gardens. We had a brilliant stay. We were really appreciative if being upgraded, and our room, Lewis was gorgeous. Huge, grandma decorated. A massive bed, and lovely view over the gardens and Loch. Large bathroom with a couples bath, and the hottest most powerful shower you could wish for. We didn't take advantage of the outdoor facilities, but loved the firepitd they have set, and another time would of liked to use the bikes or canoes. Being remote we took advantage of dining in the restaurant. It was a treat, but expensive, so not somewhere to dine everyday. The next morning we took an early dip in the cold loch, our warm room abs shower very welcome. Breakfast was fantastic, although not clear that a cooked breakfast was on offer initially. (It says on reverse of menu, but not mentioned). Dogs are made very welcome here with blankets, towels, balls and treats provided. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay. This was supposed to be a little treat in the middle of our camping treat, but turned into an upmost highlight. We would love to come back when have more time.

At the end of a single track road beside Loch Awe sits this outstanding hotel which in my opinion caters superbly for guests who seek a very peaceful destination to distance themselves from the pressures and stresses of modern living. Provision of the most comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation you can imagine, ably supported by the dedicated and friendly staff in all areas of the hotel, and off course not forgetting the gourmet delights of a highly professional kitchen. It was a pity we only spent one night, however I am sure this oversight will be corrected in the not too distant future. Highly Recommended

Had a wonderful night here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. She was in awe of how beautiful the location was, how charming the hotel was and how friendly and helpful the staff were. Cocktails and dinner were delicious, as was breakfast. So glad I found it and booked it for us and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely peaceful hotel set on the beautiful Loch Awe. The hotel is in a stunning location and the staff are wonderful. The hotel itself is a little tired but kept beautifully clean. The breakfasts were a highlight of the day. Dinner was great food and wine. Many thanks for a lovely couple of days.

Words cant describe how amazing the setting is for this lovely hotel. We arrived on our motorbike on a beautiful sunny day, the greeting we got from Jason was excellent he showed me all around the hotel and then took us to our beautiful large room with a huge bathroom ( gorgeous homemade shortbread). The view over the Loch was stunning and we sat having a beer taking in the beautiful view. We had dinner in the Orangery where we met Zeni who looks after the bar a great character with the most amazing colourful suits. The food was very good - I think the restaurant has a bigger menu but we didn’t want ‘fine dining’ just a bistro type meal. We took our cheese board back outside to sit by the Loch they provide blankets but at 8pm another member of staff came and lit the 3 fire pits ( I think this happens every night) we managed to sit outside until just after 9pm until the midges found us. We went back inside and sat in the very comfy bar area. There are loads of comfy seating areas around the hotel ( even a pool or it might have been a snooker table) I asked for a fan for our room as although it had 2 windows didn’t think it was wise to open them because of the midges and it was a very hot night. We slept well as the hotel is so quiet. Breakfast was excellent - I had eggs royale and it was on cheese scones instead of muffins which was a nice twist. Zeni was serving at breakfast with yet another fab suit! I can’t recommend this hotel enough - first class staff and wonderful gardens and views. It would be a heavenly place to hold a wedding ( which I think they do a lot of). Thank you
