We had a wonderful weekend break to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary - Joan was such a wonderful host - nothing was too much trouble.
The room was very clean - breakfast was good what’s not to like

Lovely stay at Jessop House, fantastic room. Plenty of little personal touches in the room. Great breakfast, several options to choice from and all freshly cooked. Staff welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely recommend Jessop House.

Had a fabulous stay at Jessop House again. Joan warmly welcomed us and remembered us from last time we stayed. We stay for a local festival and it’s the ideal resting place after a busy day. The bed is large and comfortable so we both slept well. The place is situated right on the high street and ideal for visiting local attractions, there are also many interesting cities nearby to visit. The breakfast was delicious using well sourced ingredients. The view out to the street is unique as it faces very old Tudor houses and the house itself is steeped in history. I highly recommend a stay and I am about to book again for next year!

The rooms are modern and clean, and the food very good. But the manageress is terse and rather unhelpful. She appeared to have a fund of do's and don'ts, but nothing is written down. It proved difficult to get any information of any kind from her. There is restricted private parking, but disorganised, and arguments broke out between the car owners. it needs some guidance on the part of the owners. Some rooms are three floors up steep stairs. The nearby Abbey bells ring at night.

Jessop House is an excellent place to stay in a very good central location! Our room was large, comfortable and well equipped! The breakfast was great too.

Great place and well looked after. It’s a listed building so expect the lovely quirks that come with it. Great welcome and a great breakfast. Highly recommend the Jessop.
