Goodland Elegance

An experience not to be repeated. I had to change rooms twice because the hygiene was really lacking. Even after insisting that the room be cleaned at least once during my stay, which it was, I saw no difference. I couldn't even say ”OK value for money,” because it was too expensive for such a filthy place. Hair from the last 20 guests in the bathroom, nicotine patches above the mirror, even after the cleaning staff had been through. And whatever you do, never look under the bed: a small procession of ants on the furniture under the TV. The photos presented are embellished by 200%.

This is a nice hotel to visit and they had very polite room service and comfortable beds. The room was decent size and bed linen was spotless. The bathroom was clean. Mostly there was everything you needed. There was a swimming pool in top floor below that a gym. Overall I had a great experience with dimora furthermore Check-in and checkout everything is streamlined. The front staff was welcoming and the check-in was quick when we came at early morning and we are greatfull for his effort. Will recommend this hotel to others because of the polite staff... Thank you dimora ✨
Kovalam Beach Hotel

”Unforgettable Stay!” My stay at Kovalam Beach Hotel was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the owner and staff. The hotel's traditional Kerala architecture, characterized by wooden features, added a touch of charm to the overall ambiance. Situated just steps away from the pristine shores of Kovalam Beach, the location couldn't have been more perfect. The homely food served here was a culinary delight, offering a taste of authentic Kerala cuisine. Clean and well-appointed rooms provided a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. I can't wait to return to Kovalam Beach Hotel for another memorable stay!
Beach and Lake Ayurvedic Resort, Kovalam

This resort is situated approx. 500 mtr inside from the national highway road, out of which approx. 200 mtr road is too narrow. Google map tricked us two times how to take the exit from the main road. Reception, ayurvedic center, swimming pool etc. are in the main land while the rooms are in a small island type area, which is separated by a small river (hardly 50 meter breadth) before joining the sea. There is 24 x 7 traditional type boat arranged by the hotel itself. Parking space in front of the reception is limited, hardly enough for 5 or 6 cars. Reception staff were friendly, the boat driver too. When you reach the room for the first time, you may have a feeling that the rooms are bit old and the surroundings are not as what you expected. But after some time, you will get acquainted with it and start to enjoy it. The (part) sea view from the rooms are good, in the morning you can see the views of local fishermen busy with their work. The ”estuary” area is not so clean unfortunately. There is a way to the beach through the back side of the restaurant. Myself & wife used the ayurvedic center for full body massage, which was excellent and the therapists were professionally trained. Restaurant have only limited options, but the food was ok. We have ordered tea & pakora for the evening and chapati & grilled chicken for the dinner, both were good and not so spicy or oily. Breakfast was enough with fruits, Idly, Dosa, stuffed poratha, omelet etc. and restaurant in charge (sorry, I forgot his name, Mr. Thampi or something similar) was very friendly. Overall, I liked the resort and the atmosphere and suggest it to my fellow travelers, if you like a peaceful and silent place. Try to get the upper floor rooms of the resort for a good view.
Marine Palace Beach Hotel
3.3/527 Reviews
We arrived to nice people at the frontdesk and had a big room with both sittingroom and bedroom. The room also had a nice big balcony with a good seaview. The room, including bathroom, balcony and fridge, was not clean. Towels and bedsheets seemed clean and AC + fridge were functional so instead of making a fuss, we decided to buy some cleaning utensils in a local store and spent some time the first day fixing the room to our satisfaction. After that we had a really nice stay and enjoyed the space we were given. We avoided eating at the hotel and stayed away from the pool, which was small and looked so dirty that we feared it could damage our health. It didn't matter though since the ocean was so close to the hotel. We stayed for five days and one night there was a very loud party in one of the other rooms. At 3 am we asked the nightguard to react which he did promptly in a very respectful way. The hotel has a bar which is in a very dark room but we enjoyed the oppertunity to buy a bottle of wine and take to the balcony, which by the way was situated at a road-corner with heavy trafic. Don't expect a quiet moment but expect a 2-star experiece.
The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel
4.3/547 Reviews
The Leela, Kovalam is an amazing hotel, which my 11 year old son and I would highly recommend! It is on a cliff top overlooking the Arabian Sea. We upgraded to Club Room, which provides you with access to The Cafe, a restaurant serving Club members complimentary breakfast 7-10:30am and High Tea 5-6pm and additional a La carts chargeable lunch and dinner. The Club room is exceptional, with a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the Arabian Sea, King bed with very comfortable mattress and bedding, fantastic walk in shower, sink and toilet, with all the toiletries. Rooms are cleaned well and the food is wonderful. We ate everything safely with no upset stomached here and the staff were wonderful! We would happily return!
