We spent a week in one of the 'Maisonette' self-catering houses. The location is absolutely perfect - 2 minutes walk to the lake and all the cafes and restaurants, but quiet and surrounded by fields. We loved watching the Ferris Wheel (quietly) rotate from our terrace. The large grounds are great for sports and include an in-ground trampoline and lots of seating areas. The house itself was very spacious and clean - a bit old fashioned in style but we didn't mind that. The Hochschwarzwald card that was included meant we saved lots of money by getting free boat trips, mini golf, outdoor swimming pool entry etc. The owners were friendly and helpful and never intrusive. A great place for a family holiday.
