Imano Tokyo Hostel

I had a long stay at Imano (14 nights) which went by very quickly because the hostel is very pleasant to live in! The café and bar area is great to sit down and have a coffee or eat breakfast in the morning. The bed is comfortable, the showers are clean and practical. The common area on the floor is also practical. Machines for washing clothes are available. Warm atmosphere of the staff. Lots of movement but no bad experience to report and the staff is always available if there is a problem. Ideally located just a few steps from the Shinjuku and Kabukicho districts. Great to then visit the other districts, several metro stations are located nearby. Ideal for a first travel experience in Japan. Thank you!

I have considered staying in a capsule alone in Shinjuku. Friends who have good value for money will definitely recommend this hotel (Imano) and another one (YQS) through the app. However, I have not gone to YQS and have no say. Maybe it is not bad? Friends who have stayed there Can comment) I didn’t stay all night and my friend invited me to stay at his house, so I was going to go there directly. I didn’t want to stay here anymore... The two hundred dollars was just for the room fee. 🫠The first problem is that the towel has to be paid separately for 200 yen, and it will not be replaced for you, and there are no slippers. 🫨Second, what I can’t stand the most is the environment of the capsule itself, which is a bit like a mattress placed on a cement wall and full of all kinds of weird smells (it seems that the previous person who used this mattress was Indian) It feels like that, and you need to lay the sheets yourself...😭In addition, climbing up the iron stairs to the second floor feels like going up a mountain of knives... Of course [its space is relatively large, including toilets and showers, which are very spacious], and [the front desk staff are very, very enthusiastic], I think this is its [advantage] However, because the structure, layout and decoration of the capsule itself are too low-end, it really makes people feel like living in a slum. Therefore, I don’t recommend you to stay in this hotel. You can consider another one, which is also a cost-effective hotel. I have put it in my recommendation before. Another Ella cabin would be much better

Except for the fact that the Aussie neighbors next door are too noisy (until early in the morning), the rest of the place is pretty good.

The location was very good. The room was clean and nice.
