Best Hotels near JR Shin-Koiwa Station, Tokyo

Only the In room spa service is not convenient, the service phone displayed on the TV cannot be reached, the counter cannot be booked, the other parts are very good, especially the location is great, you can play until the last minute and then take Access to the airport! The last time we were at Tokyo, we were at the Kinshicho area so this was the main motivation for us to book Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Kinshicho. Our first impression of the place was that it was very strategic, probably a good 200 meters' walk from Kinshicho Railway Station's southern entrance. The check in was very efficiently done and then it was time to check our room. A lot has been made in the reviews about how small the room is and I can't blame people for thinking that way. It's not so much the fact that you can't fit people in it but the fact that it does feel a bit cramped if you're travelling with multiple suitcases. The beds are comfortable as are the complimentary pyjamas that are laid out for you on the bed. My favorite feature of the room was the bathtub and it was good to have a dip at the end of a day. There is a laundry facility on the second floor which you can use to wash your clothes. Complimentary sachets of tea and coffee are available on the lobby for you to take up to your room. The clear point of improvement that I would suggest for it to have a ramp at its front entrance. As a result of this, guests would have to physically lift heavy suitcases up some steps to enter into the front lobby. It would be very useful and helpful to have some form of a ramp. I make particular highlight of the service. The staff at the receptionist's table are some of the most courteous and kindest people I have come across during my travels in particular the female staff member with long ponytail of Southeast Asian experience. I had four suitcases when I checked out and so I asked for her help to book a taxi to go to Haneda Airport. While careful to manage expectations, she promised to check with the taxi driver if four suitcases could be accommodated. She not only did this and confirmed that our four suitcases could go inside the taxi, but she physically helped load the suitcases onto the taxi while I went upstairs to check if there were anything left behind. We are very thankful for this staff member for her assistance.

This place was the best place we stayed in our 2 week Japan trip. The staff, the room, the location - all of it was perfect. It was so good, our family cancelled our reservation with another hotel on the return leg to Tokyo and re-booked here. The location is quiet but wonderful, with restaurants, groceries, interesting local shops and most importantly, 2 subway lines - all within a few minutes. The peacefulness of the area was actually perfect after spending a day/night in the chaos of Shinjuku, Akhihabara, etc. I don't see many reviews for this place - probaly due to it's newness, but trust me - it's more than full value. It really felt like our home-away-from-home in Tokyo. The only people I'd say this hotel isn't for, is the party crowd. If you specifically want the full nightlife experience of Tokyo, look for something in Shinjuku. But for a family or a less party-oriented traveler, this hotel is ideal. Our family of four had 2 twin beds and a bunk beds and we fit very comfortably. We are tall and space in Japan is at a premium - we never felt cramped at Section L, the setup is great. Pro tip: we didn't discover this until the end, but there is storage space under the bed for suitcases. Wish we'd found it sooner! Bonus: the toaster in the room is absolutely next-level fantastic.

Hotel was easy accessible from Shinjuku station through an underpass. There’s a video from hotel website that shows how to get to hotel using the underpass. There are eateries/restaurants/Lawson/familymart in the hotel. Lobby looks nice and grand. However the room and toilet are kind of old fashioned. Luckily it was still quite clean. The laundry machine for washing and drying were separate. After wash you have to go and manually transferred to dryer :( and you can’t monitor the washing status through tv. 2 other hotels we stayed b4 have this service. The rooms and facilities needed an upgrade. Will not come back again.

Good escape for you especially if you transit for long time or just lost your flight like me hahaha. They provide free shuttle bus to airport vice versa

Counter staff are friendly and can converse in English. Hotel room is small but since I am staying for one night only, it did not matter. Buffet breakfast is good and has a generous spread.

This was a decent stay. The only complaints are that the lobby toilet was a bit unclean and there was always a long wait for the elevator. Also the room carpet was covered in lint balla but otherwise it was a clean room. The bed was comfortable. The view from the room was good. Location is great. The selection at the breakfast buffet was varied and it was tasty.

1) I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights with breakfast, and there were only 3 fixed selection items everyday. However, I felt a bit bored on the third day. If it can be changed to buffet or semi-buffet is much better, there will be more choices. 2) The toothbrush provided by the hotel has a very hard brush head, and the enamel on the teeth will be brushed off even with the slightest force. The gums will also bleed. And the tooth paste is difficult to squeeze out. There is also a smell in the bathroom, which requires tape water for more than 10 minutes before it subsides. 3) The electric kettle only ha a small capacity and cannot be reheated continuously. If you want to have cup noodles as a late night snack, you cannot handle 1 large, or even 2 small portions at the same time. Overall it's good. Clean with convenient transportation. It takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the subway entrance, and 15-20 minutes to Tsukiji Market and Ginza.

Located in a residential area. 10 minutes to the JR line. Comparing to the ultra-small hotel room in central Tokyo, the one lies on the large side of the spectrum!
