Best Places to Stay Near JR Tokyo Station in Tokyo

Location is excellent, near Tokyo station especially bus terminals. One more easy option for you to take bus instead of JR from airport. If you take bus, likely go though the JR station, the exit is at the end. It’s also very convenient if you plan to take bus around Japan. Service is warm, you can choose pillows in the ground floor. Free alcohol drinks are also offered from 4-9pm which is quite long but options are not many. Bed is too low. It’s very easy to be disturbed if your half is waking up.

This is really about a 3-4 minute walk once you leave Tokyo Station, take Yaesu Central Exit. Once you cross the big street outside the station, it is only one block to a set of lights, left a very short ways, then right 2 or 3 doors, check in is on the 2nd floor (2F). There are signs in English high up and near the entrance. We stayed twice this trip. Check in was prompt. We had a twin room, 2 single beds. The rooms were very clean small as expected, so 2 beds worked better, nobody sleeping against the wall. Everything we needed, fridge, two pillows each (soft and hard), kettle, tea, coffee, TV, good lights, wifi, hangers, pants press, great soaps, shampoo and nice towels. Also, pajamas. There was a microwave and ice near the front desk area. We stayed a second time and the both rooms were identical except for the view. The first one had a view of building construction underway next to our hotel with a small bit open to see the weather. The second was higher up and overlooked the new building next to it. Not sure if that view will stay like that. A hotel view of a building next to it is common in Japan. We only slept and showered there so no view was no issue for us. There are 2 Family Marts and a 7-11 about 3-4 minute walk away also, plus other restos, more for the afternoon or night but there is a nice soba restaurant (Komoro Soba) that is open for breakfast which we enjoyed. The front desk staff were very friendly and very helpful and the next time in Tokyo, we'll plan on staying there again.

Distance from Tokyo Station - 8~10min but with luggage, it is advisable to use Yasue Underground Shopping mall all the way towards the end of this mall in direction of Giza Line or Artizon Museum. Pushing luggage this way is much easier than surface road conditions with a lots of bumps. Once you have the orientation, this hotel in fact a nice location with Takashimaya on the left and Yasue, Daimaru and Tokyo Station underground malls behind the hotel. No issue for any food as can settled at Yasue Underground mall. Convenient Shop across the street. You could have walked past this hotel if you are not focus as the lobby is at second floor. Small lobby but staffs' hospitality is ”big”. Nice chitchat with English. Easy check-in but don't expect any early check-in. Small breakfast area with limited choice but of good quality. Simple dish like miso soup can judge the effort chef put into so please do not judge. Not too sure there is an omelets station but probably you should get yours done if you ask. Room wise is new, clean and toilet is good size, not tiny. No study table but this made up by having a coffee table with 2 chairs.... well that's better with more walking space. Very disappointing is still no USB ready switch or wall plugs. So please BYO Japan adaptor and phone chargers. Internet is good, not constantly dropped. TV as usual, don't expect too much of programs in English. Oh, opposite is construction. Ask for quiet facing. Mine faced the office next to hotel... typically can see the staffs working. Will be backed if back to Tokyo.

1) I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights with breakfast, and there were only 3 fixed selection items everyday. However, I felt a bit bored on the third day. If it can be changed to buffet or semi-buffet is much better, there will be more choices. 2) The toothbrush provided by the hotel has a very hard brush head, and the enamel on the teeth will be brushed off even with the slightest force. The gums will also bleed. And the tooth paste is difficult to squeeze out. There is also a smell in the bathroom, which requires tape water for more than 10 minutes before it subsides. 3) The electric kettle only ha a small capacity and cannot be reheated continuously. If you want to have cup noodles as a late night snack, you cannot handle 1 large, or even 2 small portions at the same time. Overall it's good. Clean with convenient transportation. It takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the subway entrance, and 15-20 minutes to Tsukiji Market and Ginza.

We wanted a hotel right next to Tokyo Station as we were traveling by Shinkansen, and it doesn't get much closer than this. Like many modern hotels in Tokyo located in office towers, the actual lobby isn't on the ground level. This was a little annoying but it is what it is. Our room was spacious as expected, with views of Nihonbashi and the east side. Plenty of room to open up our big suitcases. The chaise longue next to the windows was a comfortable place to spend time on. The bathroom had a large wet room, equipped with a rainshower next to the bath tub. The glass wall meant that one could be in the bathroom and look out not only at the room, but at the rest of Tokyo if curtains were drawn. My main complaint was the shortage of TV channels with English or non-Japanese broadcast. We stayed in local Japanese hotels where they offered more international programming, so why didn't Shangri-La?! Service was otherwise fine, with check-out available via the Shangri-La app on one's mobile phone.

I was very satisfied to stay here as runner of Tokyo Marathon. It was a walking distance from finish line!Breakfast was delicious and fulfilled my stay. I could have good food with a lot of choice in the area; I could do my running course before and after the race around Tokyo Station and Chiyoda city. Hotel staffs are nice and generous!

Everything was excellent!!! Location was so convenient and easy to find, staff was so helpful and friendly, free skincare & drinks pantry, very clean rooms and pretty spacious for a Tokyo hotel!! The staffs are this hotel are really nice and attentive. When we reached the hotel, we were drenched and the moment we stepped into the hotel lobby, the staffs hastily got us towels and even helped to wipe our winter jacket. During rainy days, you could actually borrow an umbrella from the reception. To the room, what makes it different from the rest of the hotels is they have a massage chair in the room! It is a decent massage chair which will help to soothe the aches after a long day of walking.

One of our favorite hotels in Tokyo. It is easily accessible and convenient to all the sightseeing places with its great location. I woke up super early to see the trains with sunrise in the backdrop.

A British-style hotel full of Christian colors. There is an 18th-century statue of Jesus in the hotel lobby. There is a bilingual Bible in English and Japanese in a drawer in the hotel room. The breakfast at the hotel was great. The room design shows the Japanese's usual attention to detail. There are also good Japanese and Western restaurants around the hotel
