Leonardo Royal Hotel Mallorca

The equipment was perfect and very clean. We also had a free upgrade i.e. a suite instead of a double room. We were very satisfied with the selection and the quality of the food. The service immediately cleared away any plates that were no longer needed. Beer and wine were included with dinner free of charge. The only problem is parking. After 12:00 there is only more parking at least 1 km away

Decent hotel however staff at reception (MARIA) was very unhelpful and rude! Upon arrival I was standing in the queue for a very long time after being on a 9 hour flight! She was not welcoming and made me sign a document and did not explain what the document referred to! When going to check out my suite there was a facility issue and so I reported it to Maria. She was still very dismissive and did not want to help so the issue is still not resolved! The next day my room was not cleaned until four pm! To my dismay I found my towels had not been cleaned. When I reported this she made me bring down the unclean towel and would not let me receive a new one until this was done! Very embarrassing for an elderly lady! She also accused me of taking the towel to the beach???? When she wasnt even on shift? I want to Maria to understand I’m on vacation not at boot camp! Otherwise stay was good ! Nice breakfast friendly night staff. Stuff was very close by!! Had a nice beach day with colleagues!

I wasn’t happy with the hotel. If you go here expect the following: 1) People’s tax - this isn’t really mentioned anywhere but we had to pay 27 euros for tax that is expected ON TOP of your booking otherwise you can’t enter 2) No wifi - all devices weren’t connecting and we were lucky to have mobile data from the UK 3) Awful staff with lack of customer service & lack of respect 4) No drink included in the half board dinner. Basically you only got the drinks for breakfast, if you wanted water it cost €2.50 in the hotel. 5) 2 single beds put together but there was no sheet to hold them together so the beds would separate at night! 6) Towels were a little dirty, I remember seeing stains on them and found it unhygienic. 7) Cleaner came in once without our permission to clean the room / change the sheets whilst we went to the beach which I found a bit weird. Usually they need to ask or there will be a sign the customer leaves on the door.. they shouldn’t just go in. Luckily my things were all safe. 8) We were on the 7th floor and the wind was terrifying. You could hear the whole building shake / noise. If you still decide to go, even after reading all the above, I’d say pick a lower floor. 9) Any extras cost money: fridge & safe box. Like really?? All in all I would classify this hotel as a 2 star hotel. Rubbish.

If it weren't for the perfect sea view, I could have complained about this hotel. First of all, it doesn't provide drinking water. You need to buy it. The boiled water smells like a swimming pool. No ice, no glasses. There was only one bottle of shower gel and it was very incomplete. The bathroom is in the house, separated by a small glass door, which is not yet sealed. I felt like I was peeing in the house. The restaurant is very delicious, whether it is breakfast or the restaurant where you pay, it is delicious.

Wouldn’t go back. Most of the staff are unbelievably rude. The rooms are practical and clean which was all we needed. But the staff really let the hotel down. For example I purchased a bag of crisps which I noticed where 2 months out of date, I flagged this up to the bar staff and asked to swap my packet with another one that was in date, instead of doing the decent thing they decided to argue my point and refused to give me a new packet or give me a refund. The girl lifeguard was also miserable and rude. And the time it takes to get served anything at the pool side is a joke, which isn’t ideal given the fact you can’t take your own drinks/snacks with you. Another example is when we requested paper cups from the bar as the ones we had had leaked and ripped, the bar staff refused this and said we would have to purchase another drink if we wanted a cup. We also purchased 2 tuna baguettes from the bar and were unpleasantly surprised when we opened the top of the baguette to realise that there was no tuna in one half of it (this was the same in both baguettes). When we asked the bar staff for more they grudged this and did not apologise. I’m not normally a Karen and don’t like complaining but we just thought the staff need humbled.

Hotel a little high up for those who don't like hills 😁 otherwise everything is ok except perhaps in the evening when some people don't respect others (slamming doors, children in the corridors screaming) but hey it's the life in community. Very welcoming staff, very clean. Be careful if you rent a car that is difficult to park.
