Our recent stay at Gogunda Palace was truly a memorable one. The palace is steeped in history and has been elegantly converted into a luxurious hotel, retaining many original architectural features. The palace offered tranquil surroundings with beautifully manicured gardens, lush green courtyards, rooftop terraces, colorful marble walkways, and water fountains. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, the restaurant offered a wide selection of freshly cooked delicious dishes, and all staff members were attentive and courteous. It was very comfortable. In my stay breakfast was also included which was good. This place is usually nearer to lake pichola, city palace and many other places so i would definitely recommend this place.

It was an amazing experience. The service at Shiv Villas was excellent. The staff was very helpful and stay was very comfortable. Abhinav, Madhav and their colleagues specially were very kind and helpful. Being on a girlβs trip, we felt very safe in the hotel . Infact the cafe at the rooftop was also amazing. The cafeβs service, food and decor was also amazing. Definitely recommend visiting this place.

The hotel location was very good, everything was within walking distance. We stayed in a suite, which was good, clean, and specious. They provide water bottles, kettle, coffee and tea bags, towels, bat and shampoo gel. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant, with a beautiful view of the city palace. The hotel staff is very supportive and kind.

Had a great stay at the property. Excellent hospitality and good foodπ The property have a good soothing rooftop view of the city at night Staffs are very professional and well mannered. θ΅θ΅Lake Palace floating in the middle of Lake Pichola is a classic image of Udaipur. This historic building is no longer a royal palace but a hotel. LP calls it a world-renowned hotel. This may be an overstatement. But the first time I saw it in a magazine in white years ago, I remembered it.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Looking at the palace in the water from different angles by the lake will make people curious, especially in the beautiful light of sunrise and sunset. So the next night, I boarded the lake palace from a special dock near the lake. There are yachts on Lake Pichola, but they are only open during the day. It is a rare opportunity to take a boat at night, especially looking at the lights reflected on the water of the city palace and lake palace. The moment is really beautiful, and sitting Boat to the hotel in the middle of the lake is even more special experience.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β From landing to entering the hotel lobby, there will be several staff to guide, welcome speech, take luggage, order cinnabar, hand towels and welcome drinks, and so on. The division of labor is clear. These are the standard procedures for this type of hotel. The welcome petals were sprinkled from the upstairs terrace. No one was visible in the darkness, and there was a feeling of falling from the sky. After Check in, my sister in Sari took me to the room. The hotel is large, and my room is on the other side. I followed her along the way to observe her gait. I have to say that Indian women walking in sari are really swaying.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β In addition to its special location and history as a palace, one of the reasons for this hotel's famousness may have appeared on the big screen as the scene of βOctopusβ in the 007 series of 1983 films. However, I don't have much impression of this movie, and the look from the lobby to the room has made me a little disappointed. It is not as magnificent as I thought, and there is a trace of oldness. The hotel upgraded the room type for me free of charge. The view from the lake view room was very good.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β I got up early the next morning, opened the curtains, and there was already light on the lake outside. Looking up from the hotel, the slightly cool air is very fresh, and the city and lake in the morning light are quiet and dreamy, making people feel refreshed. After watching the morning scenery, I walked around. There is no second guest who wakes up early in the large hotel, which gives me a kind of exclusive joy. The pure white hotel looks noble and elegant, and the garden is exquisite, but I still think it is overly praised in all travel guides.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Had lunch at the hotel before check out, and luckily chose the best location. Looking out of the pavilion, the city palace on the opposite side looks like gold-plated in the sun. Pigeons glide across the sparkling water, and the dinghies that transport guests from time to time shuttle on the lake. Maybe hundreds of years ago, the princes were here, and they looked at the beautiful city they created with satisfaction.

Housekeeping - The housekeeping staff was efficient and attentive, ensuring our room was always pristine. Restaurant & Food : The food at all the restaurants was simply divine. Chef Dharmesh and Neha (Server) deserve special recognition for their culinary expertise and excellent service. Impeccable Service- The staff at The Taj Aravali went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Special Shoutout - Arvind, the buggy driver, was not just a driver but a knowledgeable guide who shared fascinating insights about the property. His pride in working at the hotel was evident. Family-Friendly Amenities- The resort offers a variety of activities for families. However, a dedicated attendant in the kids' area would enhance the experience. Additionally, refreshing the games and toys would make it even more appealing for young guests. Spa - The spa J wellness was outstanding. The lady at the reception was so joyous plus my therapist Geeta was fabulous. Overall- The Taj Aravali is a fantastic choice for a family getaway. The luxurious accommodations, excellent service, and delectable cuisine make it a truly unforgettable experience.

Service on the whole was good. On the rooftop, it was a little slow at times but very friendly and welcoming.
The location wasnβt too great for tourists. The main sights were quite a few kilometres away and it wasnβt particularly easy to get a rickshaw that didnβt want to overcharge you. Had to pay higher Uber prices to get around without hassle.

Staying at Hostel Mantra was an absolutely great experience. I went post Diwali' 24 and shared the female dorm with 3 other women from different nations. I loved their Karaoke night. The highlight of my trip was the Sunrise Tour they took us on, to Baahubali hills and Badi lake. I had the most amount of fun during the same, met so many people and captured the beauty in Udaipur's morning hours, ending with a chatpata bfast with the group. The hostel is very artsy and has ample spaces for someone who wants to work, or chill or party ...it gives out some of the most gorgeous views of Sunset and Lake Pichola @ night. If you're planning a trip soon, book your stay here. I promise, you won't regret!!

This place isn't perfect, but I absolutely loved it. The location is superb, right on the lake and easy walking to restaurants, cafes & shops through the old town, as well as some of the local sights. It's a little rundown, but remains charming. I took the sunset boat ride and it was definitely worth it. Much better than the public one I took earlier in the day. The rooftop restaurant has spectacular views and very good food. There's a free hotel tuk tuk to/from the temple where your driver/taxi drops you. If you couldn't book a lake view, ask about rooms 97, 98, 99 at checkin, which are lakeside on the ground floor and don't appear to be included in their online booking options.

Advantages: near the lake, with independent yard, relatively safe, you can see the lake view
Disadvantages: The service is very good on the surface. It is very nice. It cannot be executed on the ground. There are unwashed blood stains on the bed and Xiaoqiang is crawling. As soon as I entered the first room, I found that the light was broken and it kept flashing, and the switch was also faulty. The visitor didn't fix his breath, communicated 3 times, and changed the room. I was very enthusiastic to help with the luggage, but the body odor in the second room was obvious. I opened the window and it took a long time to ventilate.
Every time I cleaned and replaced, I was short of things. I had to call for it, but it would be delivered soon.
The original mineral water in the hotel is a pink brand called Java. It is recommended not to drink it. When it is boiled, it is full of suspended scales. It is fine if you buy it outside.
Check out on the last day. It is 11 o'clock when the reservation is made. The hotel phone reminder is 10:30, and the delay is up to 11:30. The attitude is rather blunt.
Looking at the hotel for 7000 rupees a night, the difference between hygiene and details is too big, but the hardware is OK

Trip com will have no power over the modification they will be of no help trust me I tried :)
The location is 4 km away from old city which is where you will be travelling for the roof top restaurant, temples, museum and the spots of interests.
The cleanliness in the place is alright its an old place all in all it was an average stay nothing that will really please you but nothing that will make you feel upset atleast that was in our case we saw a few upset customers so I guess we lucked out on a better room comparatively.
The skydeck roof restaurant ***** with the hotel is below par to say the least the place needs more cleanliness and follow some hygiene protocols (it was lacking to be honest) again the place is nothing like you will see in the pictures even the swimming pool is something you will never use it not safe or clean it's just a big make shift well to be put precisely.
The staff and reception were polite, well behaved and helpful. Thank you for that plus.
