Trip was booked as I was meeting someone at the mooring of my boat nearby.
excellent location, and had opportunity to play tennis an swim, I also took advantage of the beautician
having a manicure ready for an interview...
im extremely pleased with the stay, room 51 was perfect for my requirements
room 47 was lovely for my daughter.
I will stay there again.

The advertisement for this hotel is very misleading, a superior room was damp musky and stank. Staff were very abrasive. Breakfast was undercooked and late. Afternoon tea was very poor cakes were from asda. SPA??? CONSISTED OF 2 ROOMS. Poor

Beautiful and scenic hotel and very quiet, with nice and friendly staff. We had dinner , but to be honest could have cooked most of it at home in an air fryer. Room was ok, large tv and comfortable bed. However we was in the building behind the main hotel, and the floorboards above us you can hear every step from other guests. It was ridiculous. If you dropped a pin you could probably hear it. Felt like there was just a thin floorboard between the ceiling and their floor. It woke us up at 6am. With regret as well, the jacuzzi was not working and the steam room. On top of that the changing rooms are ok, but the showers in there are terrible. You have to constantly hold down the button as the showers are on like a 2 second timer. Mould all over the ceiling as well above these showers. All though the negatives the price was very good in terms of value.

The grounds and main area of the hotel are beautiful but sadly the room (45) was dreadful. It was dark, dingy & cramped. The carpets were very old and dirty, pine furniture everywhere, tiny window and poor decor with chunks missing. The bathroom smelt of urine and the flooring wasn’t even down properly, the toilet roll holder was missing from the wall and the area around the bath was black from old mould. In the end I was happy to get out of there but it’s such a shame as it could be such a lovely place to stay.

We stayed in one of the annex buildings. It was ok just a bit dated and not that clean (dusty and stains on the carpets.) our room was on the ground floor and the noise from the room above was terrible, lots of creaking floorboards, shower sounded like it was in our room etc. didnt help that we had a couple shouting and screaming at each other for most of the night!!
Staff were very friendly on check in.
