Domus Ciliota

The location is nice, very close to all attractions. The room was five, but not dark at night - light is from the hall was very bright. The room has an angle 📐, in case if you are sensitive. Trip.com mentions that I have to pay 1.5€, but the hotel took 2€ ☹️

Good things: Hotel location is good. Wifi was fast and reliable. Breakfast room was clean and the items that were there were quite OK. A/C in the room was effective. Bad things: Rooms were REALLY noisy, everything was heard from the hall. This was amplified by the housekeeping staff keeping really noisy conversations in the hallways, as if they wouldn't know the situation! Same was with any bypassing guests, as the halls were tile, the noise was hellish when anyone pulled a suitcase over it. The "locks" in the hotel room doors did nothing, anyone could enter with a keycard. One of our rooms smelled badly like mold in the toilet. My room did not have a safe even though the hotel promises it on their site, and despite multiple promises, one was never delivered to me. Breakfast lacked completely any fresh vegetables, and only offered one style of bread, cheese and ham. Compared to any other hotels in European old towns, this one seemed way overpriced compared to what it offered.

The Domus Ciliota has a great location a short walk from the Accademia and St. Mark’s Square. It is a bit ragged around the edges, but not too bad. The staff was very helpful. (Note though reception closes at night.) Air conditioning worked, and the room was nicely furnished.) Wi-Fi was great, and the included breakfast was very good. All in all, we had a very fine stay.

Just got back from here and was pleasantly surprised. Hotel staff and security over night were helpful and friendly. Rooms are basic but comfortable and provides everything you need for a short city break! It did get warm overnight but not unbearable, air con worked fine which helped! Lovely little courtyard to relax in when need to put up your tired feet! Breakfast was standard continental but had different options to cater, my sister is vegetarian and was able to make herself a full breakfast. Luggage storage is in a room opposite reception and it felt safe to leave our padlocked suitcases there on our last day, we took valuables with us. There’s toilets you can use to freshen up before you leave once you’ve checked out of your room. Very good location and easy to find, lovely little square with some nice restaurants a few seconds away! Very quiet location. Would defiantly stay here again and recommend for short breaks.

Lovely hotel. Staff all very friendly. Rooms basic but useable and beds comfortable. Does get hot overnight but air con helped with that! Great location with a lovely square with shops and restaurants. All squares within easy walking distance. Would recommend and will stay here again

Hotel room was good, plenty of storage, Air con, fridge , clean, tidy. The room windows open onto the courtyard, so it was very peaceful.. Breakfast was good, possibly more fruit could be provided. Dining room good and you could sit out it the lovely courtyard walled garden for breakfast. The location was ideal. 10 mins walk to St Marks Sq. Handy for the water bus. Only one suggestion. Provide a kettle tea/coffee . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
