We had lunch in the Wheatsheaf restaurant, and it was so delicious! Everyone was very happy with their meals, good service and tasty well cooked food. Would like to say a special thank you to our waitress, Alison, who gave us exceptional service, recommendations of meals and was very personable and chatty! She also took birthday photos for us. So thank you, we will be back.

Beautiful decoration throughout, outside space and inside amazing. However our lunch was so disappointing. We all had the ciabatta, bacon, chicken . So dry we had to ask for mayonnaise, day old bread , toasted which made it even dryer, service and menu great but on expensive side. .mentioned to server that very dry and u appetising, no response.

Took 5-10 minutes to find any bar staff and I had to ask if I could have a drink. The bar girl must have had a sense of humour bypass. Under flight path for Heathrow so noisy and lake nothing special. Windsor is so up itself you would think they were all royals. Ok for tourists who believe in royalty or for Prince Andrew maybe

After the refurbishment, the outside area is a lot better especially when nice and sunny. The service is quite good but food quality should be improved. The starter chicken strips were over crispy, couldn’t even see any chicken, it was just over crispy batter such that chicken was hardly there. The cucumber salad was not freshly made, it was limp!

Well, this is a fabulous hotel, we found our clean very clean with nice touches on our bed, and a lovely welcoming card. All the way through the restaurant and hotel feel so welcomed and the staff are very friendly and professional. This will be our favourite hotel. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice experience.

What a great lead team ie blond lady (boss) red head lady 2nd in charge such a lovely lady doing a great job Dark haired lady in the garden a true professional Food and Drink was good Here we go When will green king give there senior team support Untrained staff on the floor Making double the work for the 3 ladies mentioned above Ascot week etc etc Overhaul due to the professional service we got from 3 out of 10-12 on the floor I can’t give a negative review However GK staff are staff Kids from uni are not staff until there training is completed So not on a Sunday please

Refurb has been tastefully done . Had a family meal - food was delicious and nicely presented, but the service was pitifully slow. Yes I would go back again but for those going with limited time available may be a quiet word to ask them to speed up their service a little

We stayed for one night, couldn’t fault it. Staff were excellent. A few teething problems but nothing major. Would have been 5 * but room was very hot. They even found a room for us to get changed in for the racing. Would highly recommend staying there. We will be back. Thank you Frank.

Went to one of the opening nights of the refurbished Wheatsheaf Hotel. We really like the new decor. We all liked the meals, even though one of our starters didn't arrive! (We forgave them as the kitchen was still in a settling in period). Our waiter was Josh, who was excellent, having a great personality combined with a professional attitude.
