The view facing the house is very beautiful. It faces the lake directly. You can cross the road to the lakeside and overlook the lonely trees in the distance. The room is very quiet, comfortable and bright. The six of us sat on the spacious terrace and drank tea and chatted in the living room. Unfortunately, it was only Stayed for one night; there is a Chinese restaurant run by Cantonese people downstairs. It was so delicious. We ordered green bone fish, Phnom Penh abalone, mutton and drank wine. It cost 1,080 yuan for 7 people; if you stay a few more days, you can have it yourself The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; I will definitely stay here again in the future. After reviewing other reports on Tripadvisor, it seems that Lime Tree Lodge has experienced a rapid decline over the past few months. From the beginning, our arrival was less than ideal. No staff members were present, and we overheard heated arguments in the neighboring room. Even after attempting to get attention by shouting ”hello,” there was no response, and the doorbell to call reception appeared to be disabled. Only after reaching out to their main phone number did Kris, who identified himself as the duty manager, guided us to a large and attractively decorated suite. The suite included a spacious master bedroom, a separate second bedroom, and a large living- dining area leading to a patio. There was a big bathroom, but stains were visible in the bathtub. Kris provided a brief introduction before leaving for his day off at 5 pm. We tried to make ourselves at home, taking advantage of the complimentary wine and visiting the pool area. However, we encountered challenges, such as removing the cover of the hot tub independently, and a pool robot that made swimming nearly impossible due to its disruptive hose. The pool furniture was visibly dirty, indicating a lack of proper cleaning for an extended period. Shortly after our arrival at the pool, Jacqui approached us and greeted us by shouting, ”no glasses by the pool.” While the rule makes sense, a more welcoming approach would have been appreciated. As we had an early morning excursion planned, Jacqui kindly offered to serve breakfast on our patio, which we accepted. The breakfast was served on time but was unremarkable. Upon returning in the evening, we discovered that our room had not been cleaned, and the breakfast tray remained on the patio table. No staff members were visible anywhere on the property, and attempts to reach Jacqui were unsuccessful. Eventually, she emerged from the vegetation, claiming she had ”fallen asleep” and providing a series of excuses for the lack of service. It was evident that she was intoxicated. After contacting my agent, who escalated the issue to a person named Nick overseeing the property from China (a quite impossible task in my opinion), Kris returned from his day off, and the intoxicated Jacqui was replaced. The description in my itinerary stating, ”Lime Tree Lodge is a luxury, boutique-style lodge with a personal touch by the fantastic owners & staff,” couldn't be further from the truth. There is no owner on site, and the two staff members present seemed incapable of managing the lodge effectively. In conclusion, I would advise avoiding this place unless you are willing to handle self-catering and manage the lodge independently. If you excel at it, you might even be considered for a role by the mysterious Nick.

Quite a big resort on the shore of Lake Wanaka, a pleasant walk away from the town. We stayed in a 1 bedroom, ground floor apartment which was a good size, well furnished, and well equipped, with a smashing view across the lawn to the lake and mountains beyond. The furnishing is a little dated but other than that, it was all comfortable. We weren't booked in for breakfast - it was good to walk into town first thing - but did book dinner one evening, and that was more than acceptable.

We stayed here for just one night having left the dreadful accommodation in Haast that we were booked into. It was a lucky find as we had a large suite complete with lounge, dining area, kitchenette and washing machine & tumble drier neatly tucked into the bathroom. Although quite a big resort our rooms were quiet. There are plenty of facilities on site, but we didn't use any of them so cannot comment.

Te Wanaka Lodge is a centrally located hotel within 300m of the town center on foot. Rooms are just spacious enough to stay with luggage but a bit tight. There is a shared kitchen, fireplace and relax area within the complex where you are given a cooked breakfast. Breakfast a little on the light side but good enough. This shared space is quite spacious and hospitable. Great value for money.

Really nice hostel with excellent, clean and spacious kitchen. Heaps of fridge space. Staff were lovely and helpful and I had a good time chatting at check in - they just set a friendly and open atmosphere. My room was great - had the private double with bathroom which was clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake - needs some sort of net curtain though as it felt very exposed with the curtains open as there is a main walkway right outside the window as well as the carpark Parking was easy and secure on site and it’s right by the lake and a quick walk into town - like 1-2 minutes. You’re right by the food trucks and supermarket so you can get a cheap good feed if you’re not in the mood to cook. Wifi needs serious improvement. Couldn’t get a connection in my room without standing in a particular spot and even then it was weak. Decided to try the lounge area but the connection was terrible there too so it’s definitely a hostel-wide issue. If you needed to work here then it would be pretty hard to do so.

Not bad, very convenient, complete facilities, easy to cook, very suitable for self-driving stay! The price-performance ratio is OK! It is very convenient to stay in a motel in New Zealand! Good review

A big motel, the environment is good, and there are children's entertainment facilities, children love it! There is a large bed and a bunk in the room, enough for us 2 big 2 small 4 people to sleep. Although the kitchen is small enough, you can make some food for yourself. When I checked in, there were 2 children, and I was charged an additional fee of $ 50, so the cost performance was not so high.
