Sandpeddler Inn and Suites

Horrible experience. Unit 207 was old, dirty, and minimal supplies. We ended up leaving after one night! The sofa was so dirty we didn’t want to sit on it. Only had a double bed. Shelving was hanging off the wall. Kitchen had one plate minimal silverware and 2 cups . We paid $224/night plus $75 cleaning fee and $20 processing fee. The accommodations were sub par at best. They should be ashamed renting this for these prices and advertising as ocean view. After viewing units other than unit 207, this was in extremely poor condition. Definitely would not recommend.

EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT. THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT, RIGHT ACROSS A SMALL STREET TO THE BEACH AND THE OCEANIC RESTAURANT. AND ITS NEXT DOOR TO A NICE COFFEE SHOP. WE WATCHED THE MOON RISE EACH NIGHT FROM OUR BALCONY AND JUST AROUND THE CORNER WE COULD ENJOY THE SUNSET. AND IF THERE IS A MORE HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY STAFF ON THE EAST COAST THAN THE SANDPEDDLER WE HAVEN’T FOUND ONE. MIKE, DEBRA AND DIANE WENT WAY OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE OUR VACATION PERFECT.

I have been staying at the Sandpeddler for over a decade. I have stayed many times over the years, but I will no longer be doing business with them after my experience today. I don't recommend that others do business with the Sandpeddler either. I booked a specific until back in August. When I showed up to check-in today, I was assigned to another unit without notification. The units at the Sandpeddler vary a lot. Some of the units are very nice, but some of the units are not so great. I obviously booked a very nice unit. I was moved to a unit that didn't have a great view, had a smaller balcony & wasn't as nicely updated. I wasn't okay with that. I wouldn't have booked the unit that I was assigned to. Had I been notified of the change in advance, I would have cancelled the reservation. The manager, Toni, told me that it is in the hotel's policies that rooms & prices are subject to change. So, BUYERS BEWARE! You may reserve a room for a certain price but that price may change. You may reserve a nice unit, but you may be assigned to a not so great unit upon arrival. And, the hotel is totally okay with charging you more or giving you a subpar unit. Afterall, that is their policy! Personally, I think that it a terrible policy, so I obviously won't be spending my money there anymore. I do suggest the Surf Suites right across the street. All of their units are the same, and they are all updated. That hotel is also ocean front. Honestly, I am confused on why I just didn't stay at The Surf in the first place. It would have saved me a bunch of stress & annoyance to just avoid the bad service at the Sandpeddler.

We went off season which is great so not crowded. We did book through a third party and our reservation was not at the front desk but luckily I had my reservation so it worked out. Small pool but we had it to ourselves. Balcony we utilized. Our unit was updated but just the basics. Front desk were helpful. Coffee shop across the street was great! Block off the ocean and still quiet. One parking space given as well.

Staff friendly and helpful. Air wasn’t working the first night but they got it fixed the next day. Good location but feel it’s overpriced. Condo cute but needs upgrades. Had to buy pillows theirs were way to fat and not very comfortable. Couldn’t really see the ocean because we were on the bottom floor but it was within walking distance to the beach. Would definitely stay again if rates were quite a bit lower.

We stayed for 5 nights. Room was clean when we arrived. We loved the proximity to the beach and the pool was not too crowded. Paid self serve laundry was very convenient. Front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I did not rate this hotel 5 stars for the following reasons: elevator was out of order the entire time of our stay and bringing luggage up 3 flights of stairs was a hassle. Also housekeeping was non-existent the entire 5 night stay. I changed the sheets myself and get fresh towels at the front desk. Not having any housekeeping for 5 days is a lot to ask while on vacation and I won’t book here again for that reason. Also front desk kept running out of beach towels. I was given a slight discount because of issues with housekeeping and the elevator.

The accommodations were clean and well appointed. Location was fabulous and the staff were very responsive to our every request. We would return, in fact made reservations for next year. The rooms were spacious and the HVAC worked quite adequate for the July heat and humidity.

We had a perfect stay at the Sandpeddler Inn and Suites. Nice condo with a big bedroom, very nice bathroom, and great rates. We had another family member who spent some nights on the sofa bed and was surprised at how comfortable it was. Great service, invisible but thorough housekeeping, assigned off street parking. AND, we had a nice view of the beach from our window (Rm. 203). Also Oceanic restaurant was across the street and a coffee shop was just across the street as well. Easy access to everything we needed and a short drive to our family's house. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SANDPEDDLER. We will definitely stay again.

The customer service was awesome. We arrived late Friday night with no problems with checking in . Super friendly. The front desk clerk was very helpful with providing information with restaurants locations.
