The boss is very nice. He drove us to and from the hotel and told us how to avoid pitfalls. The hotel environment is very quiet and comfortable, with beautiful scenery around. It is very close to the Ten-mile Gallery. You can rent a car with the boss to ride to the trail to see the scenery. The hotel has complete indoor facilities and good sanitary conditions. It is highly recommended. Especially the room with distant mountain view is worth it. You can see a natural scenery painting at any time without going out.

I cannot recommend this experience enough!! I was blown away by both the hotel and the team (special thank you to Sarah, Bryan, and Zakaria!) This was truly personalised service. The team went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable and special one. From our private tour of the grounds, to booking us activities, to the smallest of thoughtful and considerate actions like remembering my Mum’s favourite drink and ensuring she didn’t have to ask for it. The room was stunning. The food was great. The experiences were lovely. The gym is fully equipped and with a visit. The bar is beautiful and the music is excellently curated throughout the day. The scenery, the art and the architecture make this place an unforgettable experience. Zakaria was truly a gentleman and was very considerate and attentive. The spa is spectacular and was such an unexpected treat (and 40% off during the day!). Thank you Sugar House team!

HOW TO REACH: The local name of this hotel is “Wang Jiang” tower or building. This helps if you are traveling from Yangshuo Railway Station by taxi. I traveled with my friends – 3 families (with kids), and we are non-Chinese. Typically, several taxis are available at the exit of Yangshuo Railway station. Someone approached me who can speak English – so took a 10-seater. The cost is about RMB 20~25/person & takes about 40 minutes. ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The balcony view helps, depending on which side the room is located on. I chose the front side view, which has both a river view and a mountain view. HOTEL: Although the hotel doesn’t have a lift, the staff delivered the luggage to the room. If you need help at the time of checkout, they may help. But I did it on my own at the time of check-out. It is conveniently located close to West Street (10 min walk). HOTEL-RESTAURANT: very good restaurant in 1F (vegetarian options as well!). It is very popular among the locals & we liked it too. But it gets very busy during the weekends. So, if the room is close to 1F, it will be loud till ~ 22:00. HOTEL STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to help foreigners. Many staff can speak English. In my case, YAWEN is worth mentioning, as she helped us a lot in planning our local trips. Even before arriving at the hotel, we had a plan. But our interactions with YAWEN (& her feedback) made it very convenient & time-effective for us. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: It is possible to book tickets for the Ruyi scenic spot, Silver Cave, Hot air balloon, Li-river cruise (from Yangshuo), Xinping (hot air balloon), Bus-trip to Longji Ricefields, & many more at the hotel.

The location is very good, quiet in a busy area, and not far from the ancient city. The scenery is very good, and the service of the lady is very considerate and enthusiastic. The breakfast is very good, freshly made one by one. It is also close to the place where bamboo rafts are made. The room is very clean. The photos taken upstairs are very beautiful. You can walk along the Li River. I am very happy and satisfied.

It also has the first county of kumquats, with natural and original ecology, no pollution, and fresh air~ Here I would like to praise the unlimited pick-up and drop-off in the county, which is a very, very good service! The driver is very dedicated! He is available on call and is also very nice~ This service saves us a lot of transportation costs! And then I would like to thank the housekeeper Akai!! He waited until one o'clock yesterday for us who came back late. After hearing that we did not make an appointment to Xianggong Mountain, he took us to the top of Mingsu to watch the sunrise at five o'clock the next day. (Although I didn't see it, the beautiful scenery is worth it!). He was very considerate to lead and explain all the way~ He also used a drone to help us take very meaningful photos! Thank you very much🙏 In addition, other staff members are also very patient and responsible. They pulled a group before they arrived, and any problems can be solved in time. The environment of the inn is very beautiful, the bed is very comfortable, and there are very cute and docile kittens and clever birds. Although it has just opened, I think it is very mature in terms of management and service! It is a very good choice for travel and accommodation!

I came to Yangshuo with my friends on the second day of the new year. The hotel I stayed in was amazing. The hotel is by the Yulong River. You can lie on the bed and see the natural scenery outside. The hotel has everything you would expect from a good hotel - spacious, well equipt rooms with comfortable bed and pillows. The location is also perfect to explore Yangshuo. In the heart of the Yulong River, accessible by foot, and with easy electric scooter rental directly opposite to explore further afield. But the real highlight of this hotel is the staff. Li and her staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. As a vegetarian in China, I had been struggling to eat good food, when I asked for vegetarian food, they went out of their way to buy tofu and cook a custom meal, which ended up as the best food I ate in China. The room also contained a book with photos, history and information about Yangshuo, which was interesting to browse. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, you'll have an authentic and smooth experience. Great hotel, great, location, great staff, great food.
