The entrance is a bit small, but there are uncles and aunts at the door to greet people, help with luggage, and guide parking (there are free parking spaces, just a 2-minute walk from the hotel). This Gongxingshe Xichishanju is a perfect place to stay in XingPing, Yangshuo. It is conveniently located literally five min walk from the 20 yuan note scenery spot. The pier from where you can enjoy riding on a 4 seat tourist motor boat on the Li river (120 rmb/person) is also in a walking distance. There are many restaurants around but not so many convenient stores. The hotel has a little swimming pool outside, everything is so clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and really helpful. There is always a choice of hot and cold drinks at the lobby (instant coffee is provided, though). Breakfasts are simple but nourishing (Guilin rice noodles, bread, jam and butter, congee, mantou, dumplings, shaomai, fruit). I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who seeks peace and comfort far away from the hustle and bustle of the West street.
