Location-wise, this B&B is right in the heart of everything. It's a renovated century-old house, and you step right out to Moon Pond. The owner is really nice and even offers luggage transfer within the scenic area. Waking up early in Hongcun before the crowds is a completely different experience. Staying here, you can just walk out and see Moon Pond, and South Lake is also very close and convenient.

This guesthouse is located right inside the scenic area, offering a wonderful environment. It boasts a large, tranquil, and comfortable garden. The toiletries in the room are all high-end, which shows great attention to detail. I even enjoyed a quiet moment in the garden before bed. Breakfast was also very generous. The staff were super enthusiastic and helped us with our luggage. A five-star experience!

Before coming to Hongcun, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just be another old village to visit and leave. However, my stay at 'Hongcun Yike Homestay' made me feel that every detail of this trip radiated warmth. Upon arriving at Hongcun bus station, I was unfamiliar with the area and was stressing about how to drag my luggage across the stone-paved paths to the homestay while looking at a map. The moment I called, the owner's enthusiastic voice immediately put me at ease: 'Wait there, I'll be right over to pick you up!' In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way. 'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again.

This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value.

Its location is absolutely superb, within walking distance of all the popular photo spots, making it super easy to plan your sightseeing. The courtyard is elegant and spotless, and the guest rooms are even cleaner and tidier. The attention to detail in cleanliness is truly impressive; there's no clutter or stains anywhere. It's an old house conversion that beautifully preserves its ancient charm while maintaining excellent living standards. My stay here was a perfect experience!

The three-day multi-entry ticket meant we didn't have to rush back and forth. The old house is an authentic Huizhou-style building, with its courtyard, carved wooden windows, and horse-head walls creating a fantastic ambiance. The small courtyard's elegant greenery made it perfect for relaxing with tea and taking photos. The room was spotlessly clean, with soft bedding and a well-separated bathroom with plenty of hot water. The damp-proofing was excellent, with no musty smells, and it was quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The owner and housekeeper were incredibly thoughtful; they actively helped with luggage upon arrival, explained the Hongcun touring routes, and recommended local Huizhou restaurants. Breakfast was an authentic farm-style meal, with fresh and abundant congee, Huizhou rice dumplings, and farm-fresh eggs. Checkout was efficient and smooth, and the owner even thoughtfully advised us on our return route. Their service was genuinely warm and sincere throughout. With its ancient charm and heartwarming service, it offers incredible value for money. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hongcun, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Southern Anhui!

The small loft room was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. The owner was super thoughtful, calling ahead to offer a pickup from the scenic area entrance. I had a big suitcase, which would have been hard to drag around inside the scenic area, so the owner brought a small trolley to help me get it to the hotel. They also helped me pull it out of the scenic area when I left. Highly recommended!

Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!

Highly highly recommend to stay in 上善若水 民宿 if you visit 宏村。 The place is conveniently located near 月昭, which is one of the most pretty sight in 宏村。 Hotel is beautiful , spacious and very clean , with a big yard where you can sip tea and enjoy the serene vibe of the place. There are 9 rooms ,all nicely designed by interior designer. Service by the owners, husband and wife pair is impeccable. You feel welcome immediately with attention to your every need! Feels like you are staying with friends who provide you with comfort in a foreign place. Home cooked breakfast every morning and great quality sleep every night! Some photos of the hotel below. Every corner is meticulously designed and maintained. The guesthouse boasts a prime location, just a short walk from the south gate, making it incredibly convenient. Although situated within Hongcun, it offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle; at night, the only sounds are the chirping of frogs and insects. The rooms are spacious, bright, spotless, and equipped with modern amenities for comfort and convenience. The housekeepers are also incredibly attentive and helpful, assisting with luggage at the entrance, taking photos, and readily fulfilling any requests. This guesthouse truly represents a perfect blend of historical culture and modern comfort, exceeding expectations. Highly recommended! By the way, their osmanthus black tea is also delicious! 👍
