Meandros Boutique & Spa Hotel - Adults Only

This hotel is small but lovely. All the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help you. The food at breakfast and dinner was good. Not a huge amount of choice but good for the size of the hotel and always found something to eat. The air conditioning works well in the room which was needed as was so hot. There is a mini bar fridge in the room but it is quite expensive so we did store a small amount of our own bits in there purchased from the local shops which are close by.  This would have been a 5 star review, however I think that some of the room descriptions are a bit misleading. Beware if you book a master suite with private pool. These rooms and pools are very different, however you pay the same price whatever you get. Rooms 108 - 111 are on the front and are quite overlooked by the main swimming pool area and access to the restaurant. Room 111 has a pool twice the size of the other 3 rooms. Also 109 & 110 are not what I would consider a suite and just have a room type divider between the bed & the sofa. The bed is also 2 singles pushed together rather than 1 bed. The 4 rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden area are much more private and 3 of these have large rooms and pools. I am not sure how the hotel can justify charging the same price for all these rooms considering the pools, privacy and rooms are vastly different. Just something to bear in mind when booking.

Pleasant staff, nice breakfast, quiet except for cockerel (but you kind of get to like that), clean. Perfect for relaxing break. Please can you buy new sunloungers. The plastic broke on 2 of mine, with a bump! I saw the same happen to others. If you invested in cushioned loungers, I would very happily return.

This was our third visit to the Meandros Beach and as before we enjoyed every moment despite the weather starting off poorly. In same grand suite as our previous visit looking up the pool. Huge room beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean thanks to the hardworking, cheerful cleaning ladies and guys. Nothing is too much trouble to any of the staff in this hotel they are all so pleasant and helpful. Weather was very cold at night on first 4 nights so Dennis at the bar gave us a blanket to put round us and put overhead heaters on. The waiting staff in the restaurant were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to the young girl who made fresh omelettes to your taste each morning always with a smile on her face. Good very good overall and was plentiful despite what others gave said. Plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Spa beautiful, spotless and again staff lovely as were reception staff. Great quiet pool area with lots of sunbeds and so relaxing. Only sorry I can’t remember individual staff names but they are all exceptional. Will definitely be back again,

Small hotel, around 5 minutes from the airport. Nice clean pool area and helpful staff at the pool bar. Lunch menu is limited but food is very nice. We had a private pool villa but it was very cold, and slightly off season you don’t need it as there are more than enough loungers. Only negative was breakfast - the quality of the food at breakfast compared to lunch was so poor. The lady who checked us in didn’t give us a tour or any details about the hotel or local area which was a shame. Lady in the spa was super helpful and friendly.

Just returned from a week stay at Meandros. Cannot fault the staff at all, everyone was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Special shout out to Dennis for being so friendly and recommending my partner and I lots of different places to go whilst we were in Zakynthos. Food and drinks were lovely with lots of options. Only thing I would mention was we were not aware that you had to pay for the spa facilities and assumed these would be included with the stay in the hotel. Not a fault! Just would have been good to know on check in. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel itself is beautiful and clean and it is in a perfect location within walking distance of everywhere. I have read other reviews and I can agree re the charges for early check in as we were charged 20 euros to check in early. We were also charged 30 Euros for the safe and 100 euros for the tourist tax which we expected to pay as had read about it. What we also didn’t expect was a 10 euro charge to use the wellness area - being a 5 star hotel this should be included and not an extra charge. The food is a let down at the hotel some of the chef’s do not know how to make an omelette without cremating it. The food on an evening is mediocre and we ate out ite a few nights which is such a shame.

Stayed here for a week in May, suite was lovely but I wouldn’t describe as 5 star. Good central position with LoveTendring pool area, although jacuzzi was not available as no water in it. Nice bar area outside called the Amazon Bar. What was a let down was the food, I asked for a omelette which was not fully cooked and the evening meals were a bit strange. One morning for breakfast there was garlic green beans !! very strange but I accept they cater for all nationalities so perhaps this is the cuisine for some people. We ended up going out to a restaurant for a couple of nights just to get a better choice for dinner. On out last night there was nothing that I could eat dinner one so just had a buttered roll and dessert ( the desserts were very nice but not enough fresh fruit out especially at breakfast. Plenty of restaurants in the high street and plenty of shops. A trip on the fun train to the Olive Press factory was worth the visit, if we were to visit again I would choose room only option. The staff were very nice and friendly

The Hotel itself was lovely immaculately clean from the rooms to the pool area.The staff are very polite and helpful (A credit to the hotel).The facilities are excellent,rooms are large with great balcony areas,mini bar and everything you need for your holiday.Location for bars and restaurants is great and the beach is only a short walk. Now for the BAD bit the food was AWFUL from the breakfast to the evening meals I can't think of anything positive to say.The bread was stale,the hot dishes were cold the vegetables were overcooked we even found the kiwi fruit to be like granite and a limited choice I could go on.We ended up skipping quite a few meals and eating out.This was a real shame because we could not fault the hotel apart from the food and because of this we wouldn't return. Having now returned and read some other reviews food seems to be a long running albeit sporadic issue at the hotel but the management don't seem to like hearing this so I'm expecting their usual defensive response.
