Bed was comfortable and great. Hostel was just next to the East entrance to the park, which is very convenient for reaching early to avoid tour groups. Owner is very helpful and friendly. He can help get tickets with a discount and provide instructions to the complicated park. Close to many food options as well, which give a small discount when you show your room card. Highly recommended if you're a smart traveller who wants to maximise your time in the park efficiently.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the center of town and a short walk from the scenic park. The rooms are basic but comfortable, it was more than I expected at the price I paid for several nights.
The guesthouse owner was fantastic, very knowledgable about the park and helped us to buy tickets. She was very friendly and helpful in explaining the routes we could take and things we could see. I saw her assisting other travellers using translation software too, so language isn’t an issue for foreign tourists.

Ziyan Ningxiang Inn is absolutely cost-effective. The rooms are large, ethnic-style, clean and comfortable, and there is an elevator. It is 5 minutes away from the bus station and 5 minutes' walk to the east gate of the scenic area. There are many large and small restaurants in front of the inn. The proprietress is warm and hospitable. She explained the two-day itinerary to us clearly on the tourist map day by day, which made it worry-free for us to visit the essence of Zhangjiajie Forest Park. The experience is superb and worth recommending. I wish the proprietress a prosperous business!

Beautiful room, close to the park entrance.
The house was not easy to find at first, because it looks different from the picture. The house is painted green now. The included breakfast is in a resraurant nearby and is very delicous.

Highly recommended.
Great location and is within walking distance to the national forest park (east gate). We took didi (similar to uber) from Zhangjiajie West train station to the hotel. It took about 40 min and costs 42rmb one way.
Room and bathroom are big and clean, beds are comfortable and the host is very nice.
We spent two days in the national park, with first day went up the mountain (Yuanjiajie, Avatar floating mountain etc) and 2nd day strolled along the stream, Jinbianxi (entered through east gate and exited through south gate). There are buses from south gate to east gate, which charge 10rmb per trip.
Hotel near east gate is a better option as most attractions are closer to East gate.

Facilities: When we checked in, the lady boss said the room was not clean, so we upgraded to the branch behind.
Hygiene: The room is clean and bright, and there is a shared clothes dryer.
Environment: It is very close to the East Gate, and there is a small stall downstairs for eating at night, which is very convenient.
Service: A map of Zhangjiajie Forest Park was given when we checked in.

The hotel is near the East Park entrance gate (13 min walk -3blks) and the local bus station (5 min walk 1blk), situated on a quiet street.
From the local bus station, you can take bus to Glass Bridge, and other Park Entrance Gates. A very economic way to move around. Buses are reliable.
Mr. ZHANG (owner - no english) was very helpful for hiking routes and tour information.
No morning breakfast provided. 20-25 min walk to Xibu area (restaurants).
Hotel is clean, quiet, free laundry (DIY), safe. Great value.

Apple and her husband are so nice. She helped us on planning our days in Zhangjiajie base on our flight schedule. Location is convenient, close to Zhangjiajie national park entrance, night market, there are many shops and restaurants around. A bit far from airport and Tianmen mountain so you can plan Tianmen on the day you check out. We stayed in Double room with mountain view, room is spacious, facilities are new and paid attention to details. We even had a balcony overlooking the beautiful stream next to the homestay. Breakfast is simple, but nutritious with traditional noodles, egg and soy milk. If you need to wash your clothes, you can use homestay’s washing machine for free. So nice, amazing stay, highly recommended ♥️

The hotel is located in a very good location. Close to the Main Street where you can find restaurants and street foods at night and also street market in the morning.
Also close to the park entrance which mean you can walk there it is about 15-20 minutes walk but you can enjoy the view and atmosphere.
The room is clean with a good view. We booked two rooms for two nights. One was on the second floor and another is on the fifth floor with a nice view.
The lady at the front desk also very kind. They guided us through the everything we need to know, showing the maps and advice us the best way to go enjoy the park, helping us buying tickets.
The hotel also organized a car to pick us up and drop us off at the train stations.

Had a wonderful stay.
The inn is farther out from the national park than others but it is at a quiet corner of the district.
The room and toilet was standard but other services and amenities stood out for me.
They had small extras such as sewing kit, availability of fruit knife that made the stay more comfortable. The staff also helped with booking of tickets and giving advice on how best to go around the attractions.
Breakfast was at the top floor which provided a great view of the mountains.
The staff, amenities, and breakfast view made all the difference. Highly recommend this inn.

GGuest UserWe have a bad experience with the taxi driver, he actually went pass the location of the hotel and just drop us off and ask us to walk lucky enough we know how to use the local direction app. When we reach at the hotel reception, we also has a bad encounter with the receptionist call ****, when we ask her about the map of the town , she advise she do not know , but worse off all , she serve the person behind me and answer call , and let me stand there without attending and finish off the stay in process. Disrespectful and bad attitude. Anyway her action was apologized by the room care taker and the manager. The manager give us the map and advise us places to go around.
The place we stay is convenient to get food to eat. Small town , good for mountain hiking. The place is commercially made to attract tourist .

GGuest UserWangyun had a fantastic location, just about 5 minutes from the main country park.
Li Yan at the front desk was outstanding. She called us before our arrival to confirm our travel plans, ensuring everything went smoothly.
When the toilet clogged in our room, she personally came and resolved the issue within minutes, handling it with professionalism.
She helped us arrange tickets and car rides to all the country parks seamlessly.
The team accommodated us even after checkout, allowing the four of us to use the shower even after our check out.
Overall, the staff was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. There’s even a friendly dog at the reception to greet and play with you upon arrival.
My friends and I had a great time at Wangyun and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Wulingyuan area. The only downside was that the room corners could be slightly cleaner, but it wasn’t too noticeable. Beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but delicious and healthy.

TThereseWe had a very nice stay, we stayed 3 people in one room. The room we stayed in was very big and had its own unique style. It was very clean. The hotel is very close to the South Gate of the park. It's a little hidden away from the road, but they were very quick to come and pick us up and drove us to the park entrance every day free of charge. Breakfast eggs come from free range chicken on the ground and they were excellent. Over all the food was very good. It's a small hotel run by a family and they are all very nice and helpful with planning your stay. Location is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

LLaura MayWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the Zhangjiajie national park entrance. The room is spacious and has good facilities, good wifi and bathroom. The staff at the hotel were amazing. They were happy to help with anything we needed and went above and beyond. They wrote us a full plan for our day at Zhangjiajie and assisted us with anything we needed. Foreigner friendly and extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for a great stay.

Mmin yiNo. 5 has a holiday home vibe situated atop a hill with a fantastic view of the valley, especially during sunset. The location of the inn may be a little concerning (when we took the didi into the place the driver looked at us weird), but rest assure that the ZJJ Forest park is still extremely accesible. No. 5 provides a transfer service to the West gate, along with a plan of how to explore the forest park that is different from the rest of the visitors as you will be exploring the park starting from the opposite end of the park. Rain also very kindly helped to booked the entrance tickets on behalf of us as we did not have access to a local number.
Everything was dealt with professionalism in a Wechat group, from reservations for dinner, to kindly removing a bug from our abode. The room was very clean and our consumables were stocked daily. Food choices are limited at the restaurant but every dish that we had at the inn was quite decent. We were able to order from the menu at least an hour in advance and when we arrive at the restaurant, the food was already set out on the table. 10/10. Facilities are adequate, with the exception of a slightly sluggish drainage system, but the design of the dry and wet toilet managed the problem fairly well.
Expect to book a transfer service out of the inn, though, as the location is distal from the usual tourist crowds.
No.5 also provides activities for when you feel like staying in, such as baking cookies, making scent packets and other interesting activities. The highlight of the inn though, has to be Yang Ma, the resident tea lady. She makes fantastic tea on request whenever she can, and the tea tastes amazing.
The view, tea, and good service from No.5 makes this place an interesting choice for a slow paced holiday.

GGuest UserThis time, I was very happy to stay at Qiman. It was a highlight of our trip to Zhangjiajie besides the scenic spot. After booking, the housekeepers Xiao Huang and Xiao Xiao contacted us in time to arrange the pick-up, and sent us the itinerary planning and travel suggestions. After checking in, they took us to visit the room, helped us upgrade the room type, explained the travel strategy to us in detail again, and made adjustments according to the weather and our needs, and took us to taste the local specialty berry tea. The driver, Master Hu, picked us up and dropped us off at the middle gate of Zhangjiajie Forest Park every day, and set off at any time according to our time. It was very comfortable to chat. Every day, breakfast and dinner are also very delicious. The aunties in the restaurant are also very cute and will give us a little spicy. When the weather is good, they will help us set up dinner outdoors before we return to the B&B. The atmosphere is super good! We were also given roselle tea on the night before leaving. Every day when we leave and come back to see the staff, they will greet us intimately about how the game is, which is super warm, and we also have a good chat with the two owners of the B&B! We are very satisfied with this B&B as a whole. The room is clean and cleaned in time, the service is warm and thoughtful, and we try our best to meet our various needs. The room design and supplies are very tasteful, the mattress is very comfortable, and the bathtub is fully utilized during the days of walking 20,000 steps every day. While providing accommodation and rest, I also made good friends. I will come again if I have the chance!

From the moment we arrived, the personalized service made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with logistics, arranging everything from tickets to transportation, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The 24/7 attention was impeccable, and the beautiful location and facilities added to the charm of the resort, we got a feeling of Avatar 2.0
One highlight was the great variety offered at breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed each morning. Both of the resort’s restaurants served excellent food, adding to our overall dining pleasure.
A special mention goes to the staff members who made our stay exceptional: Johnny and Shan received us warmly on the night we arrived, Cherry and Monica, who not only provided excellent service but also entertained us with their beautiful singing and fun personalities; Pink, who was incredibly helpful, proactive in planning our activities, and quick to resolve any issues

PPENELOPE KAYI booked this hotel for my mom since my husband and I stayed there a few years ago and had an amazing experience. However, she said that no one would speak to her in any English (when we were there, everyone was very helpful and the manager was foreign).
She also had a bad experience with a massage she booked. She thought she could charge it to the room, but the woman demanded cash, then once she paid, wouldn’t let her out of the room until she gave an extra tip. Apparently that was the only word she said in English the whole time. I’ve never been expected to tip in China, so this seems like they’re taking advantage of foreign guests who may not know better.
The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the national park, but the concierge tried to get her to take a taxi for way too much to a different gate. Luckily, she called me to ask if that was worth it and I told her, “no, don’t take a ¥50 taxi to another gate when you’re less than 1km from one of the main gates.” It just made her start to feel uncomfortable that everyone in the hotel was trying to trick her.
It’s a shame because the hotel is lovely and the breakfast is actually quite good, which my mom said is still the case. But she had a very mixed experience where the hotel was great, but the staff didn’t make her feel well taken care of. Very different from my husband’s and my experience a few years ago.

The places to eat and convenience stores nearby are also very convenient. Here I would like to especially praise the housekeeper Xiao Chen, who is enthusiastic, answers all questions, and responds to all requests without getting tired of it, which adds a lot of points to the hotel.
