Stayed here for 2 nights. It is well-located on the side of the ancient town, allowing us to reach the main sights of Shaxi within 5-10mins walk. Easy with the luggages too if you are arriving in a car which can stop right at the main door. The suite was huge with separate living area, bathroom and had a nice wooden decor. Although it’s already been operating for many years, it felt brand new! Hotel compound itself was beautiful with an airy garden setting. We enjoyed taking breakfasts & afternoon tea at the outdoor benches by the dining hall. Even though it was fully-booked on one of the days, it never felt crowded at all. Staff were courteous, always smiling and happy to offer their services or advice. This is a property one should definitely consider if intending to spend more days in Shaxi & the neighbouring area, so that you could enjoy the hotel itself.

I had a fantastic stay at Yingju Inn. The hotel is located in the most central place of Shaxi village. But more importantly, the manager was very helpful and professional. She speaks perfectly English and was able to help me for many things. She indicated me all the sights to visit in the area, and she booked my bus for me. It worth to be noticed, because after almost one month in China, it was the first time that I had a hotel with an English-speaking staff.

quaint guest house that is run by a retired HK couple, they provided the warmest welcome during our entire trip, and we felt so at home! we spend quite a while chatting with Ms May and her husband and enjoyed the exchange. facilities are homely and basic, with a lovely garden and a kids play area. total of 8 rooms. shaxi ancient town is such a gem, quaint, quiet and is a place where you can really slow down your pace to appreciate what yunnan china is like. spend your time wandering around shaxi ancient town, it’s small (1 hour exploration) but definitely take the time to sit with a cup of coffee or a book. take the yellow taxi (electric buggy) to explore the various smaller towns that surround shaxi. there are appx 7 smaller towns, each with its own charm… we only had time to explore beilongchun, where the pace of life is slow, quiet and healing. the higher you hike, the views are very different! some places to check out: - shaxi avant garde book shop u - universal bakery (alien mascot bakery that sells sourdough, hard crust bread) - bailong tan (small lake) - 山风院子 which has a tree house and a mini cafe - shaxi tea horse museum - old stone bridge, in the afternoon an elderly couple would be there with their goats and you can buy goat milk or take photos. - shaxi friday market!!!

和家人朋友娃娃們出行，一起去有風的地方，沙溪好地方，民宿就在巷子一進去的地方，離玉津橋就5分鐘內路程，離古戲台也是5分鐘，非常方便，而且民宿院子很舒服，加班看電腦看視頻一流，房間有點小想對大理洱海那邊，不過可以接受，推薦

I like the first light that shines into the house in a day I like the cool breeze blowing throughout the day I like the comfort of sitting in the yard with the sun shining on my body all day long I like watching the succulents grow hard throughout the day. Just listen to your own voice, Enjoy a piece of indifference very nice. . .

I love it so much. The environment is great, the location is excellent, and it is quiet in a busy city! The housekeeper is very considerate. On the day we left, he knew that we would leave early the next day and would not be able to catch up with breakfast, so he specially prepared bread and milk for us to take with us! Very considerate! The bed is comfortable and moderately hard and soft, the room is clean and tidy, and it is so comfortable to sit in the yard and drink a pot of Pu'er! I really love this small courtyard! Full marks! I will choose Yishu again if I have the opportunity to come in the future! In addition, don't miss Yishu breakfast. The rice noodles made by the ladies are better than those outside 😋!

在看的別猶豫了就定這家！ 民宿就在古鎮裏面，去哪都很方便。 房間設計古樸温馨，床墊也很舒服。淋浴間和廁所是分開的，科學衞生，洗澡熱水出的也很快。總體居住體驗非常好～ 最重要的是老闆很可愛，人也超好，即使這兩天身體不舒服也是疲憊甜妹💕老闆釀的青梅酒很絕，煮的熱紅酒和好喝，簡直是酒神降臨！有機會一定要嘗試一下～ 豆漿（老闆的貓貓）使用指南： 屁股在睡覺的時候可以隨便摸，醒的時候摸會反擊（但是手感真的很好） 醒的時候推薦部位是下巴、嘴角和額頭🫰🏻 金多多（鄰居小金邊）使用指南： 隨便摸🫰🏻 這次走的時候下雨了，拍的照片陰陰的有點遺憾，但是也是一種幸運因為見到了不同天氣下的沙溪，都很美，很喜歡，下次還來！

The hotel is located next to the old town. It has a nice courtyard where you can chill. The room was clean and we felt comfortable. The staff was helpful. Attention: the toilets are squat toilets!

It's really great! Better than expected! It's in a quiet corner of Shaxi Ancient Town, and it's very convenient to walk to the center in a few minutes. The courtyard is unique, and sitting on the bench by the water feels healing and leisurely. The room is very large, very clean and beautiful, simple and atmospheric, and it feels safe and worth the money to live there. The housekeeper sister doesn't talk much but is very considerate. At night, we accidentally dropped our glasses into the toilet. We were so anxious. The housekeeper sister calmly and quickly helped us contact the master to disassemble the toilet and rescued the glasses that were just a few centimeters away from being flushed down! Thank you so much! Otherwise, you can't see anything clearly in the beautiful scenery. I like afternoon tea, good night sweet soup and delicious breakfast! It's similar to other photos in the comments, but the real thing is better and very, very delicious! I wolfed it down and didn't have time to take pictures.

The door of the room we originally booked was under renovation, which affected our lunch break. After feedback, we were immediately upgraded to a large bed room in the courtyard. The service was very good, and the room and the courtyard were very comfortable. After checking in, I found that the rooftop was a popular cafe, 31 Coffee, which was very literary and petty, and the view from the rooftop was particularly good. Breakfast was dry rice noodles, which were chewy and delicious, and the dining environment in the courtyard was first-class. The homestay is next to the parking lot, and the car can be parked at the door to put the luggage, without pulling the box on the stone road, which is very important! If you live upstairs, the housekeeper will also help you move up. I highly recommend this homestay.
