I only stayed one night on my way from NYC to coastal Massachusetts, but I'd stay here again. I slept well enough in the bunk bed and the design where the bathrooms are outside the dorms helped to keep things quiet enough to sleep.
A go to hotel when I'm in Boston. Newton is a suburb but you can be in Boston very quickly but no subway stations nearby. It's right over the Massachusetts turnpike (but I've never felt bothered by highway traffic noise) it's not in town but couldn't be closer to the highway that gets you into the city or directly to the airport. It's got a great bar connected called Social that has really good food and live music sometimes on weekends and another small, neighborhood style bar right across the street (Buff's Pub) that has solid pub food and some of the best wings in the Boston area. They will for sure have whichever Boston sports game on. Bar closes early though, maybe 11pm. A great pizza place and a few other restaurants and a liquor store in walking distance (and a Dunkin' Donuts). Service is always good, the pool is quite small but it exists and is old but clean. No gym. Breakfast is solid. Parking Garage too.
Great place to stay. They just done a remodel of this place, and they have done a great job with the upgrade. Staff is always very helpful and friendly
New, new, the room interior is newly decorated, clean and tidy, much better than expected, the room also has a microwave, coffee maker, etc. I forgot to take pictures. Free parking is also available. Many hotels charge an additional parking fee ranging from 26 to 65. I took a picture outside when I left.
Hotel environment: very new, only opened in 2018, all facilities are very new and clean, the lobby has a public internet area, gym and a mini swimming pool (suitable for children). English breakfast is served free of charge, not very rich, but it's OK.
There is an outlet 11 minutes away from the hotel, which can satisfy everyone's shopping needs. Uber is also very convenient in the past. Although it's a half-hour drive from Newton, it's a little bit, but the price is very high. The business hotel managed by Hilton is still very guaranteed!
Room: The toilet facilities are very new and clean, with shower gel and shampoo supply, iron and hair dryer available. Please bring your own if you don’t have slippers (a North American hotel feature). The room we booked also has a simple kitchen, microwave and refrigerator, cutlery, tea cups, plates are provided. There are two 1.5-meter beds and a sofa bed in the room, enough for 5 people (for six adults, the sofa bed is a bit crowded. The sofa bed is only about 1.2 meters), the carpets and curtains are very new, and the air conditioning is also very new because of North America The hotel is basically window-type without a split body, the air conditioner is very noisy and loud after a long time, and it is impossible to sleep with the heating or air-conditioning all night. In addition, sound insulation is also ok, not too noisy!
High cost performance, overall very satisfied! You can book a new hotel with confidence
Website clearly states ”No Pets” , upon checkin we see several people walking their dogs on the grounds. So much for that policy.
I have allergies to dogs and can only hope that a dog was not previously in the unit we rented.
Overall clean, but the black mold around the shower head and around the top of the shower in unit 848 was a bit concerning.
Was quite surprised when getting hit with a $27.92 charge for ”Resort Fees” otherwise known as ”Junk Fees” upon check-out.
Was not informed of any additional fees upon check-in.
Office manager was unmoving on this.
This has been reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General.
The hotel has been around for some years, the room facilities are old, the sanitary conditions are average, the breakfast is average, but it is already better in this town, and we are in the peak season, the rooms are full. After we checked in, we found that there was no bedding for a bed. The little brother at the front desk came a few times to get the bedding, and then let us make our own bed. After all, there is no staff on duty at night, and there is no way.
This was my friend's favorite room during this trip to the US, and the price was quite reasonable. Compared to hotels in New York, this place was truly comfortable. It's small but exquisite; though the room is compact, it's fully equipped and very clean. The view from the scenic room was also excellent. The lobby is decorated very warmly, and there are many young people around. Breakfast was also quite rich. We were very satisfied and highly recommend it.
It was a generally good stay, with nice amenities and a spacious room. There was one issue that came up: the Trip.com website stated that the room would be on the 27th floor. However, when checking in, the reception at the Encore hotel said the highest they could give me was the 17th floor, 10 floors below what was promised, even though I showed them my reservation detailing that reserved room was on the 27th floor. A second issue to be aware: this establishment that calls itself a ”resort hotel” does not have a mini-fridge in the room. One can rent one for $40/night, which is a bit mind-boggling. The only fridge in the room is dedicated for the mini-bar. However, one cannot use that fridge because any movement of items in it would incur a charge since the sensor system, which tracks each bottle, would trigger a charge to the room. This meant I could not place my perishable item in the mini-bar fridge by shifting the alcoholic bottles to make space for my perishable items. Otherwise, this was overall a pleasant stay.
Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. I think this hotel deserves a four-star rating.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was reasonably soundproof.
The hotel is right outside the subway station, and there's a Starbucks nearby for breakfast.
The service was professional and friendly, though the only downside was that slippers weren't provided.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserIn Southborough, very close to the company, nice and quiet environment
The front desk service was very good. I arrived quite late at night and was given freshly baked cookies, which was very considerate
The room was quite large, the two large beds were very comfortable, the bathroom facilities were also good, and the cloakroom was very convenient
You can watch Netflix and other movies on the TV for a fee, and there is also cable TV
The only drawback is that the coffee machine is very dirty, with dust inside and outside, and needs to be washed before use. The disposable cups and cup lids provided are also covered with dust
I don’t know if this room has not been occupied for a long time
Please check the hygiene of the room before checking in
GGuest UserThis is a lovely thoughtful hotel and very comfortable beds. Loads of funky or slightly different amenities....that do make your holiday feel special and help out a lot.
Thank you for the great service and hope to stay again
__wfo0****The room isn't huge, but with two 150cm beds, it's manageable for a family with kids if you don't mind snuggling. The mattress was incredibly soft; surprisingly, I usually get back pain at home but slept on this soft bed for three nights with no issues. There's a Starbucks drip coffee maker in the room, and another Starbucks next to the front desk on the second floor. Bar10, also on the second floor, serves good food. The hotel connects to two malls, which is fantastic in the cold winter as you don't have to go outside to find food. The cleanliness was impeccable, it looked like it had just been renovated. The shower had both an overhead rain shower and a handheld option; even though it was in a tub, the water pressure was excellent. Facing north, we had an unobstructed view of the river and MIT across the way. Boston truly is a beautiful city, and I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit.
HHeliyoulilingIt's just an ordinary business hotel, just stay for a while, it's very quiet, but the room facilities are a bit old, but the bedding and everything are clean, overall it's good, nothing to complain about
YYixinerxing7284Location: The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of downtown attractions like the Freedom Trail, Tea Party Museum, Quincy Market, City Hall, and Boston Common. Harvard is accessible by subway, and MIT is a walk away on the return trip. Both Boston South Station and North Station (which has a large Star Pharmacy supermarket) and the airport shuttle drop-off point are within walking distance. Chinatown and Macy's are a 5-minute walk away.
Cleanliness: Decent.
Value for Money: Alright. A good choice if you prioritize saving time and feeling safe.
Room Size: The twin room was a suitable size.
Soundproofing: Decent.
Room Amenities: The beds are high and the mattresses are quite soft. The bathroom has a bathtub (low and small), the showerhead is a bit low, and the water pressure is average. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. No slippers, toothpaste, or toothbrushes. The room has a microwave and a mini-fridge. There's a free ice machine and water dispenser in the hallway.
Service: Check-in is at 3 PM, check-out at 12 PM. Early check-in costs an additional $50. Luggage storage is available in advance (free). A $100 per day deposit is required at check-in (held on the bank card, refunded within 2 hours after check-out). Complimentary cookies are given at check-in (very sweet). The hotel lobby bar features a singer in the evening, offering an American bar atmosphere.
DDarburaPros:
New Yorker first time driving to Boston, so i need a hotel that provide parking. This hotel provide free and pretty safe parking in their basement which is excellent for interstate driving travelers.
Beside free parking, this hotel also great for sightseeing Boston via public transportation. There is a bus stop right across the street. Bus 77 will go straight to the Red Line Harvard Station. You can transfer to Red Line and go straight to the city. Or you can transfer to Bus 1, which will take you to nearby Boston University and Newbury St. From Newbury St stop, you can transfer to the Green Line at Hynes Convention Center Station. There are a lot of attractions right on the Green Line for you to explore.
When you are done with your travel, u can take Red Line or Bus 1 back to Harvard Station, then transfer 77 and it will take you back right next to the hotel.
This hotel also provide free breakfast in my booking. The breakfast is nice but will be better if it can last to 10am during the weekdays. (6-9weekdays, 7-10 weekends)
The room is not bad, pretty big with table, kitchen, refrigerator, sofa, two tvs and a bed. The room I have is pretty clean and I do not have much to complain. The hotel staffs are nice too.
Cons: The mattress is not too hard or soft and is comfortable for me. However, it is little too noisy when you try to move or turn.
The bathtub is slippery when you step in it, especially where there’s water in it. I have to grab the pole tight every time. The hotel need to address this issue for safety.
GGuest UserI got two nights stay at the hotel. My experience was fantastic from check in to check out. I arrived a little before lunch as I was transferring from Westin right next door so I wasn’t sure if I had to wait until 4pm for checkin. The front desk staff took me in pleasantly without a fuzz, very thankful for that especially when I’m on a tight travel plan. The room was very spacious and clean plenty of clean bathroom supplies, shower was awesome with just the right water pressure. The only thing I would suggest is to just leave the complementary bottle water in room (especially during the summer season) as opposed to having to pick up at front desk (which I wasn’t aware until my friend told me who was also staying at the same hotel). However the room does have two bottles of water but they are priced. I did notice that the internet is not free if you are not a Marriott member (not sure if it’s a norm now days but I think Westin was free for hotel guest and both are under the same hotel Group, but it stood out in my experience with the Hotels as I just completed two weeks of travel right before the stay), so at Checkout I asked to ensure my member number is associated with my stay and the gentleman at the front desk kindly confirmed that the internet charge will be removed on final billing. That was a peace of mind for me. Very thankful again. Overall a comfortable stay and will revisit!
GGuest UserThe hotel is new, the bed is large and soft, and the room looked clean and odor-free.
However.
1. The service was terrible. During my multiple stays, I was served by different staff members morning, noon, and night. Most of the staff, who looked like interns, were mediocre. One young male staff member with bangs even refused my request to renew my parking contract.
2. We were unexpectedly charged for parking. We weren't told and were charged two $30 parking fees. We didn't drive, though.
3. Upon arrival, we were told that cleaning only happens every other day, and we took it for granted. Trash is only collected on cleaning days. I recommend leaving it at the door; they'll take it.
4. The staff only knocked three times before swiping their card to let us in. While I was initially shocked, I got used to it after a few days. They would just open the door and make eye contact. So remember to use the deadbolt.
Also, this review was written while sitting on the toilet. As you can see from the angle in the first photo, the toilet is completely visible the moment the door is opened. So corresponding to the 4 mentioned above, it is very scary.
