Day 6 of 14-day Georgia self-guided tour - Ananuri Castle.

On the way from Kutaisi to Kazbegi, we first visited Ananuri Lake and Ananuri Castle. Ananuri Lake is also known as a reservoir in China, with a deep green lake and green waves. The Ananuri Castle, built in the 13th century on the edge of the reservoir, was originally a private military castle, witnessing the history and military importance of the Aragvi feudal dynasty. Ananuri Castle is also the cover of Lonely Planet Georgia. If you want to take the same photo as the cover, you need to go up the half-meter-wide slope behind the church. This place is narrow and steep, so be sure to pay attention to safety.
