A remarkable collections of relics in the Bode Museum

#museums #100waysoftravel Bode Museum was formerly named as Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum, which was built in 1898 by the order of Kaiser William II using the Baroque Revival style. It houses important statues and relics of the Byzantine structures, typically those related to Byzantine Christiniaty. The entrance hall consists of the cupola and it leads you to the Byzantine collections of the statues, paintings, altars etc. It has a very strategic location with the building located just beside River Spree, which gave tourists a chance to take very nice pictures along the river. It was also inscribed onto the UNESCO Cultural Heritage list in 1999 as part of the Museum Island Complex.
