Guangzhou ‖ Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel

Series- 📍Location- Decided to have an impromptu stay. I planned to stay in the Tianhe business district, which is convenient in terms of location and transportation. I was torn between the Sheraton and the Marriott, but finally chose the Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel, which was newly renovated in 2022. ⭐Features- The design style of the newly opened/renovated Sheraton hotels in recent years is basically consistent, with a mix of retro tones and modern shapes, looking almost identical to the recently renovated Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel. I used a Platinum Card member's room upgrade voucher to upgrade to a small suite. The living room area is very large, with a low-key, unobtrusive light gray fabric sofa, maintaining the room's sense of spaciousness. Compared to placing the desk in the room, I really like placing it right behind the sofa. This setup allows for work and rest, and family members can stay in the same space without feeling separated. The suite has three giant glass windows, each offering a different view. One glass window is next to the bathtub, and the other two have a single sofa placed by them. Guests can choose any view they like, sit on the sofa, read a book, watch a show, chat, or do nothing at all, just sit there. ☕Dining- I specifically chose a time when there were fewer people to experience the executive lounge. The lounge, like the room, is new, and the high-altitude view enhances the appetite. The food quality is above standard, with a wide variety, and even the desserts and small bread are not perfunctory. Speaking of food, I really want to praise the breakfast Hong Kong-style milk tea. Maybe I haven't stayed in enough hotels, but it's rare to have Hong Kong-style milk tea for breakfast. The Sheraton's Hong Kong-style milk tea uses Kam Fung Tea King as the base, with a rich tea aroma and a mellow taste, but it feels light after drinking, and even after two cups, there is no burden on the stomach. It is always kept warm in a heated pot, and when poured out, it is steaming hot. A beautiful morning is awakened in the misty milk fragrance. It would be even better if the sweetness could be adjusted by the guests themselves. The breakfast also includes rice rolls, shumai, sesame balls, pineapple buns, and congee, all of which taste good. ❣️Mood- I attended university in Guangzhou. When I used to shop at the Tianhe City Mall and Grandview Mall, I always looked at the Sheraton and Marriott with admiration, thinking that I would work hard and earn money, and one day I would stay at these two hotels and look at the world from 'above' on Tiyu West Road. Eight years after graduation, I am grateful for the efforts of these eight years, which have helped me realize one by one the dreams and wishes I once had, no matter how small. It feels really good.
