Interesting zoo/park in San Jose

#fallishere Simón Bolívar Zoo and Botanical Garden has a variety of different animals and plants and the layout of their enclosures allow you to get quite close to many of them for a unique viewing experience. Money well spent. It's fairly inexpensive with plenty to see over the course of a couple of hours. I went on a weekday popl and it wasn't busy. As it's a zoo, animals are caged sadly, but that is the nature of zoos. Monkeys seemed happy enough. Parrots were in full song. There's a jaguar and other creatures. Plenty of tropical trees. Be sure to pay a lot of attention to where you walk though, there were hundreds of spider webs with large arachnids across many of the pathways.
