I love the urban resort style of Alila Shanghai.

I was on a business trip to Shanghai this week, so I came to check out the newly opened Alila Hotel. I booked a classic suite, and the view from the high floor was great. Since it is an old building that has been renovated, the floor height is much lower than that of a newly built hotel. However, I really like the color scheme of the guest room. The warm wood finishes and beige art paint create a tranquil living space, and the colorful paintings on the walls add a touch of playfulness. The public area of the hotel is not large, so it is quite private when there are few people, but it can feel crowded when there are many people. The restaurant and main activity spaces are all located on the L floor (4th floor), which is also the floor where you check in. I really like the hotel's lounge called Cha Yan. The suite includes afternoon tea and evening happy hour cocktails, which can be enjoyed here. It is like a large living room, perfect for chatting with friends. You can also sit outside when the weather is nice. The service, which I care about the most, was quite good during my stay today. Let's see if they can maintain a stable standard in the future.
