Located in the bustling city center, the Shanghai History Museum was formerly the Shanghai Race Club Building, one of the most prominent and well-preserved historical buildings in Shanghai. The museum comprehensively reflects the historical development of Shanghai, displaying a large number of precious cultural relics and showcasing 6,000 years of civilization in Shanghai. It is not only a great place to learn about the history of Shanghai, but also an excellent place to experience the charm of traditional culture. 🌟The first floor is a special exhibition hall for temporary exhibitions. Upon entering the hall, you will first see a pair of bronze lions, which were originally placed in front of the HSBC Building on the Bund. The ones you see on the Bund now are replicas. One of the museum's treasures is the Muhuahao Baizi sedan chair, whose complex workmanship and exquisite decoration embody the essence of traditional Jiangnan culture. 🌟The second floor is dedicated to ancient Shanghai, with cultural relics that comprehensively trace the historical context of Shanghai. The skull of the "first person in Shanghai" unearthed at the Songze site and the ivory scepter with a divine beast face pattern unearthed at the Fuquanshan site are witnesses to the brilliant civilization of ancient Shanghai. 🌟The third and fourth floors are dedicated to modern Shanghai history.
