🌿 Returning from Guoqing Temple, my heart is still in that thousand-year-old tranquility. At seven in the morning, I enjoyed the undisturbed Guoqing Temple🏯, with the early summer breeze gently brushing against the Sui Pagoda🗼, and the shimmering pond in the Fish Paradise🌊, as if time had slowed down here🕊️. 🍃 🌳 The mottled Zen rooms under the towering ancient trees🏞️, and the scene of people staying in the temple busy drying grains🌾, together form a vivid picture🖼️. Such tranquility makes one feel as if they have traveled back to that ancient time🕰️. 🎋 🏯 Guoqing Temple, an ancient temple from the Sui Dynasty🏯, was rebuilt during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, with numerous cultural relics🏺, each carrying profound historical significance📜. Let me take you through those treasures that must be carefully observed: 1️⃣ Sui Pagoda🗼, follow the clear signs🚏 along the steps next to the Seven Buddha Pagoda🕌. The Buddha statues on the pagoda are lifelike🙏, with six sides and nine levels, as old as Guoqing Temple🎂. Despite being baptized by fire🔥, it still retains its charm💪. 2️⃣ Seven Buddha Pagoda🕌, located in front of the mountain gate of Guoqing Temple, was built to commemorate the past seven Buddhas🙇. What we see today is a reconstruction on the original site after the founding of the country, but it still retains its solemnity and dignity🕯️. 3️⃣ Fenggan Bridge🌉, in front of the "Ancient Temple of the Sui Dynasty" screen wall, with the water flowing gently under the bridge💧, as if telling a thousand-year-old story📖. The inscription "The water flows westward when one arrives here" on the nearby stone tablet📜 adds a touch of mystery🔮. 4️⃣ White Marble Lion🦁, located in front of the mountain gate hall of "Guoqing Temple"🏛️. This is a precious cultural relic transported from the Forbidden City, specially approved by Premier Zhou when Tanaka Kakuei proposed to visit Guoqing Temple during the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan🎁. 5️⃣ Shengshouwujiang Bronze Cauldron🏺, located in front of the Mahavira Hall, is a treasure of the temple made by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty for his mother’s grand birthday👑, a relic from the Forbidden City, showcasing royal grandeur💎. 6️⃣ Shakyamuni Bronze Statue and Eighteen Arhats Wood Carvings🙏, located inside the Mahavira Hall. The Shakyamuni statue is a bronze statue from the Ming Dynasty🗿, solemn and majestic; the Eighteen Arhats wood carvings are made of nanmu from the Yuan Dynasty🌳, covered with real gold✨, lifelike🎨. 7️⃣ Sui Plum Blossom🌸, located in the courtyard on the east side of the Mahavira Hall. It is said to have been planted by Master Zhang'an Guanding, the fifth patriarch of the Tiantai Sect🌱, and despite the vicissitudes of life🌪️, it still thrives🌳. 8️⃣ Goose Character Stele📜, parallel to the Three Saints Hall, on the wall of the same side corridor🏞️. Half of it is the authentic work of Wang Xizhi🖋️, and the other half is a copy by calligrapher Cao Lunxuan after seven years📜, a must-see for calligraphy enthusiasts👀. 9️⃣ Fish Paradise🐟, located on the west side of the Release Pond, near the exit🚪. When the Ming Dynasty calligrapher Dong Qichang came to Guoqing Temple to escape the summer heat, he was invited by the abbot to write the three characters "Fish Paradise"🖌️, with vigorous and powerful handwriting💪. 🌸 Each cultural relic tells the thousand-year history and cultural heritage of Guoqing Temple📜, making people linger and forget to leave🌀.🌼
