The beautiful Guoqing Temple

By chance, we traveled to Tiantai Mountain in Taizhou. We departed from Shanghai and took a two-hour high-speed train to Tiantai Mountain Station on January 20, 2024. Moreover, the scenic area is not overly commercialized, giving it a special feeling. The scenic area does not require an entrance fee, and the toilets are very clean (you can feel the care here). The electric shuttle at the entrance of the scenic area only costs 2 yuan. Walking slowly up the steps into Guoqing Temple, it is filled with Zen and historical charm. The ancient trees tower, and the Sui Pagoda stands tall. The traces of time are clearly visible on every brick and tile. The yellow walls and black tiles are solemn and simple. Every building here contains a profound Buddhist cultural heritage. Inside the temple, there is also a free tea room (pictures five and six). Sitting down with friends for a short rest, you can clearly feel a sense of care... In picture nine, you can see a simple old man carrying incense ash. He is contributing to this place with his labor. The flowers in picture ten make me feel the tranquility here, just as every plant and tree possesses Buddha nature. From the flowers and plants, I can feel the care here. The Sui Plum has survived for a thousand years and is still full of vitality. The Sui Pagoda stands tall, witnessing countless changes over time and bearing countless stories and history. Finally, after leaving the scenic area, we sat down for a short rest at the Xide Café with friends. Even the road feels peaceful, perhaps because it was a time with few people, making the experience very good.
