Valladolid Science Museum 🇪🇸

#summerdestinations Visiting the Valladolid Science Museum was a highlight of my trip 🌟! Located on the banks of the Pisuerga River, this modern museum is a treat for science enthusiasts of all ages. With an entrance fee of just €4 for adults and €2 for kids, it’s both affordable and educational – perfect for families or solo explorers like me. The museum features interactive exhibits that cover everything from astronomy to biology, making science fun and engaging for everyone. 🧬🪐 One of my favorite parts was the planetarium. I’ve always been fascinated by space, and watching the starry projections on the dome ceiling felt like a mini adventure through the cosmos. The show was in Spanish, but they offer audio guides in multiple languages, so everyone can follow along. Another cool feature was the section dedicated to renewable energy and sustainability. It was inspiring to see how technology is evolving to help our planet 🌍. The museum also houses temporary exhibits – during my visit, there was one about the science behind the oceans, complete with life-size models of marine creatures 🦈. I also enjoyed the outdoor area, which includes a small garden and a replica of a DNA double helix, perfect for a quick photo op! After spending a couple of hours exploring, I took a leisurely walk along the river, enjoying the view of the modern Millennium Dome Bridge and the surrounding park areas. Not too far from the museum is the Patio Herreriano Museum, another great spot if you’re into contemporary art. And for a perfect end to the day, I found a cozy café nearby to relax with a coffee and some churros ☕️.
