#summerdestinations La Coruña was an absolute delight for a city break! 🌊 This charming coastal city in Galicia, Spain, is the perfect blend of history, culture, and stunning views. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the scenic waterfront promenade that stretches for miles along the Atlantic. Walking along the Paseo Marítimo, with the sound of waves crashing against the shore, was both relaxing and invigorating. One of the highlights was visiting the Torre de Hércules, the oldest Roman lighthouse still in use today. For just 3€, I climbed to the top, and the panoramic views of the city and the ocean were absolutely breathtaking 🌅. It's a bit of a climb, but totally worth it for the photo opportunities and the sense of history that fills the air. The tower is surrounded by a park, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. The Old Town, or Ciudad Vieja, is another must-visit. Its narrow cobbled streets are lined with historic buildings, charming cafes, and boutique shops. I loved exploring Plaza de María Pita, named after the city's heroine, with its impressive town hall and vibrant atmosphere. There are plenty of cafes around the square where you can sit outside and soak in the local life ☕. Don't miss trying some traditional Galician cuisine like empanadas and fresh seafood—delicious! After a day of sightseeing, Riazor Beach was a perfect spot to relax. Even though it's a city beach, it’s clean and well-kept, with crystal-clear waters that are great for a swim or just lounging under the sun 🏖️. La Coruña is a city that has it all—culture, history, and natural beauty. Whether you’re a history buff, a foodie, or just looking to unwind by the sea, this city has something for everyone.
