Lugu Lake is truly stunning. It is definitely worth a visit. Lugu Lake is located at the border of Sichuan and Yunnan, with very convenient transportation. My boyfriend and I started from Chengdu, drove five hours to Xichang Qionghai to rest for a night, and then set off the next day. It takes five hours to reach Lugu Lake. The entire journey is on highways and mountain roads, and the road conditions are very good. Lugu Lake Circumnavigation Guide: We booked a hotel called Huayuehai·Lake View Resort Hotel. Starting from the hotel, we circumnavigated the lake clockwise. First stop: Lovers' Beach👫 Since we went in winter, we could feed the seagulls. It is recommended to prepare some bread in advance🍞. Second stop: Lige Peninsula The view from the bottom of the mountain is absolutely beautiful! When the weather is good, the lake water is blue-green. At Lige Peninsula, you can take a boat to Xiwa'e Island, feed the seagulls on the boat, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Goddess Mountain. Third stop: Goddess Bay I think this is the most beautiful spot, where you can watch the sunset🌄. Fourth stop: Caohai Since we went in winter, Caohai was yellow. In summer, it is green. The scenery varies with the seasons. Fifth stop: Walking Marriage Bridge A must-visit for couples. My boyfriend and I held hands and walked across it. The above is the clockwise route around the lake. If you have enough time, it is best to spend two days circumnavigating the lake. You can take more boat rides, bask in the sun, and watch the shimmering lake surface, which will calm your heart!
