Yongshun Laosi Fortress

Located 20 kilometers away from the Yongshun county town, on the mountain lies the ruins of Laosi Fortress. Laosi Fortress was established by the Peng clan Tusi during the Southern Song Dynasty and was abandoned after moving to a new location following allegiance to the Qing Dynasty. The ruins of Laosi Fortress are on the World Heritage list. The site is built on a mountain separated by a river and contains urban elements such as residential areas, city walls, roads, city gates, drainage systems, cool caves, and ancestral halls. Some say it can be compared to Peru's Machu Picchu; of course, its grandeur cannot be matched, but its purpose and elements of construction are similar, and from a distance, it is still awe-inspiring. The scenic area is vast, with many relics, including the Baishou Hall, the old village, and ancient temples. I have only focused on the Laosi Fortress ruins. I stayed here for 4 hours. There is a regular shuttle bus from Yongshun bus station. There are many attractions around Laosi Fortress, but they are not convenient for independent travelers.
