However, it has a significant advantage: it's only a 5-minute walk from North Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Station on Line 6, so it's relatively convenient. Service quality The service deserves 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟! The lady at the front desk had a sweet smile and was very friendly. She even reserved and upgraded a suite for me in advance. The service was so thoughtful! Executive lounge The executive lounge gets 3 stars 🌟🌟🌟. It's very crowded on weekends, as everyone is a distinguished Marriott Bonvoy member. Since I checked in late, I was scheduled to visit at 7:30 pm. The lounge is on the 51st floor and has a great view. Although the seats by the window were all taken, it didn't affect the overall experience. There was a wide variety of dishes, soft drinks, and juices, and they tasted good. Sheraton Shanghai Waigaoqiao Hotel: Marriott Platinum Challenge My boyfriend and I recently participated in the Marriott Platinum Challenge and stayed at the Sheraton Shanghai Waigaoqiao Hotel. It was a great experience. Value for money The hotel is great value for money. We booked the most basic room type for about RMB 600, and we got an extra 3,000 points because of a flash sale. The hotel also upgraded us to the executive floor for free. Although there were no executive benefits, the 60-square-meter bedroom with a walk-in closet and a small study was very comfortable. Room facilities The room is decorated in a Chinese style, and the facilities are very new. The hotel also has a spacious swimming pool and sauna, which are great for relaxing. Location and transportation We went to Changxing Island for a weekend trip and stayed here. It was very convenient to drive there. Service The hotel service was very attentive. We communicated with the hotel in advance on the app and were able to upgrade our room smoothly. Parking The hotel offers free parking, and you only need to change elevators once to get there. There are plenty of parking spaces and a Tesla Supercharger, which is very friendly to electric car owners.

You can see the unique view of the chimney from the room, but the two wooden stools behind the sofa area are a bit out of place. The gym is very spacious, but there are few pieces of equipment and they are a bit old. However, there are some niche pieces of equipment that are rarely found in other hotels. The pool is a bit short and not standard size. The surrounding area is mostly office buildings in Waigaoqiao. There is a KFC across the street and a Family Mart in the direction of the subway station. Gaoqiao Ancient Town is about 2 km away and is a good place to visit the next day. You can also try the Gaoqiao pancakes. However, there were some disappointing aspects of this stay. The lounge was disappointing. Afternoon tea was served in the buffet restaurant on the first floor, with only simple food such as watermelon, bread, and vegetable cream cake. Nuts and soft drinks were not provided. During the HH period in the top floor lounge, although the decor was elegant, the food quality was poor. Soft drinks were not replenished, and the cakes were the same as those served at afternoon tea. The dishes were ordinary, such as scrambled eggs with black fungus, duck legs, vegetables, curry chicken, and pre-made egg tarts. There were many diners, and even after being diverted at check-in, it was still difficult to find a seat at around 18:30. You had to fight for the good dishes. Breakfast was of the same quality as the lounge. The ham in the cold food area was just salted ham, and there was no cheese. Overall, the hotel's advantage is its luxurious and elegant decor. There are many glass cabinets on the first floor displaying collectibles, which show the owner's taste and investment. Compared to the Sheraton Shanghai Baohua and Sheraton Wenzhou, each has its own characteristics. For travelers who don't have high expectations for food and beverage and are looking for a good return on investment, this is still a good choice.

You can also walk along the Huangpu River to the Bund, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Waibaidu Bridge, and other attractions. The room is tastefully decorated, spacious, and bright, and the photos are particularly good. The room is smartly designed, with voice-controlled lighting and curtain systems via Xiaodu, and you can also use it to listen to music. The Xiaomi TV screen is clear and smooth.
