The Woodview Inn

This was our second experience here, albeit 8 years in between visits and of all the places we've stayed at across Canada, this is our absolute favorite. My wife commented that walking through the Inn was like visiting a museum with each room having a different feel and staging. Both John and Steve (owners) and their team are FANTASTIC!! Yes, caps are required when stating this and once you stay, you'll ”get it”. Their attention to the smallest of details made our time there perfect. Whether it was a quick-witted banter or a simple smile when passing by, you feel welcomed and valued. This doesn't even cover the outstanding dinner service in their restaurant and the generous breakfast served in a nifty cooler in the morning or the comfortable feel of the back patio on a sunny afternoon. Moreover, the visit was identical in feel to our original one which made writing this review so easy. Legit, after 8 years when you give your guests the same ”feel”, you are clearly doing something right! With hotel chain prices being off the charts, The Woodview Inn was a genuine value.
Imperial Inn 1000 Islands

Queen Cottage was so very dark with insufficient lighting, giving it a gloomy drab feel. In contrast to the front rooms that have been recently renovated, the cottage needs renovating. The water in the bathroom was barely warm. When I phoned reception to report this, I was told to let the water run long enough to get it hot. When I told them I had done this already for 15 minutes and it was still only just warm, they then said there is nothing they can do. So no hot water. When we first moved in there were several mosquitoes in the room. The Cottage was quiet as it is at the back of the property away from the road. It was also handy to park our car right beside the cottage. The breakfast included was a good portion of scrambled eggs on toast. Having the cooked breakfast was very welcome rather than just the usual continental.
Comfort Inn & Suites Thousand Islands Harbour District

Normal level economy hotel but when I arrived at the hotel and said that I only received one room to get money, I had to contact Ctrip. He provided me with Wi-Fi. Ctrip solved it for half an hour, but there was no warm air in the room (broken). Run After two trips, I came to see and changed a room. A group of foreigners stayed in the corridor, holding a bottle of cans and chatting to open a party. The breakfast room was also occupied by them, so it did n’t feel very good. There is parking lot Large free breakfast Not far from the town center Also close to the pier But it should not come again in the future

The room is large, very clean, and the price is very reasonable. There is coffee and chocolate milk in the reception area. There is breakfast in the morning. It is less than 10 minutes away from the city. There are two supermarkets for shopping in 3 minutes.

The staff was amazing - super friendly and very accommodating. We booked 3 rooms which were all very clean and comfortable. The pool area was very relaxing with several picnic tables available as well. There were a lot of options to walk to for dinner. Breakfast had a really good selection and the eggs and sausages were hot. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Ganonoque!
Holiday Inn Express & Suites 1000 Islands - Gananoque

We had good memories of this Holiday Inn Express a few years ago but now on a recent visit we were underwhelmed. Our recent 2023 experience: 1) The elderly person who met us at the check-in counter didn't bother to stand up, stop what she was doing in order to greet us. That didn't make us feel like ”guests”. We were simply asked for our credit card and charged for our stay. 2) The general reception area was plain and uninviting (it could use some color). 3) We opted for a suite room and this is what we noticed during our stay: a) - the sit down desk is scratched up and needs to be refinished b) - dust was all over the base of the lamp and one of the bulbs kept flickering c) - the fireplace remote wouldn't work (battery?) d) - the sofa is shot, uncomfortable and should be replaced. e) - Various nicks and scrtches on the furniture. f) - the bed was comfortable g) - the TV needs to be reprogramed into english and the TSN5 feed fixed so it actually works right h) There were no restaurant guides or similar items in the drawers for ”guests” to familiarize themselves with the local fare or attractions. The overall impression we were left with is that they cheaped out on keeping their hotel up to a standard paying guests deserve and expect. Too bad. Next time we will choose differently.
