The tour of monasteries in Bucovina was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Our guide Sebastian Traciu was competent, with rich knowledge of painting and history, as well as super nice. We will definitely contact him again, when we will decide to visit Maramures or Bucovina.

My friends and I booked a private tour with Active Travel, had the most wonderful experience with Marian, our guide. He was absolutely accommodating in every way and chose two locations that were perfect for us. The scenery was breathtaking, and Marian was so knowledgeable, and shared so many interesting stories and historical facts with us. After our hike we finished up having lunch in a guest house which was arranged by Marian, and everything was perfect. Marian spoke with so much love and passion for the Carpathian’s and Romania, and is an advocate for ecotourism which we found inspiring. We recommend Active Travel and will def be back to Romania to book with them again.


