Taipei Palace Museum houses an exceptionally rich collection of artifacts and treasures that span nearly 5,000 years of China's glorious history, with over 650,000 pieces in its collection. Known as the "Treasure House of Chinese Culture," it offers visitors the chance to see its three most prized possessions: the Meat-shaped Stone, Jadeite Cabbage, and Mao-kung Ting. The lifelike forms and exquisite craftsmanship of these masterpieces are truly awe-inspiring. In addition to viewing rare treasures up close, you can also visit the park's Zhishan Garden, Zhide Garden, and the Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall. Get up close to appreciate the art-inspired-by-life Meat-shaped Stone. The Dongpo Meat-shaped Stone is one of China's Four Great Odd Stones and one of the three treasures of the Taipei Palace Museum. The "Jadeite Cabbage" craftsmen skillfully utilized the natural hues of the jadeite, using the deep green tones to depict the layered cabbage leaves. Although the white portions contained cracks and impurities, the artisans ingeniously transformed them into the fresh, moisture-rich stems of the cabbage through clever arrangement. Taipei 101

Located in a prime location in Taipei, Taipei 101 was primarily planned by Taipei Financial Center Corporation, a consortium of fourteen companies, in collaboration with a professional team. Designed by renowned architect C.Y. Lee, the project transcends the concept of a single volume, using the auspicious number "eight" (a homophone for "prosperity") as a design unit. Each eight-story building forms a structural unit, interconnected and stacked to form the overall structure. This creates a rhythmic and dynamic aesthetic, pioneering a new style for international skyscrapers. Ultra-high-speed elevators: Taipei 101 Observatory is equipped with two ultra-high-speed elevators, with an ascent speed of up to 1010 meters per minute. It only takes 37 seconds to go from the 5th floor to the 89th floor observation deck. These two elevators are also equipped with constant pressure devices in the car, dampers, and high-temperature resistant ceramic braking systems, making them intelligent high-speed elevators that integrate high technology. The 89th-floor indoor observation deck, illuminated by dazzling lights at night, creates a dreamlike and immersive experience through its glass-enclosed landscape. Not only does it offer panoramic views of the city skyline, but it also features unique, private photo windows, ensuring every moment becomes a classic shot! Wind Damping Sphere: The full official name of the Taipei 101 wind damping sphere is the Tuned Mass Damper (TMD). It is a passive damping system custom-designed to meet the needs of this building, located centrally on floors 87-92. Its main purpose is to reduce the building's swaying during strong winds, minimizing discomfort for those working in the building. Unlike traditional concealed damping systems, the Taipei 101 wind damping sphere's design balances functionality and aesthetics, allowing a clear view of the entire damping system's operation from the observation deck. The multi-section exterior design naturally mitigates the wind field effect on the ground caused by airflow from high-rise buildings, and ensures pedestrian safety and comfort through the separation of green planting areas in the architectural design. Infinite Sky: Utilizing a unique mirroring principle, the interplay of reflections and rotations between the atrium and floor creates a visual experience of boundless space and limitless expanse, making visitors feel as if they are in a kaleidoscope world. Helpful Reminder: Female visitors wearing short skirts should be aware of the reflection issues on the mirrored floor. Rainbow Neon Zone: The night view from above, combined with neon lights, is a popular spot for taking photos and shouldn't be missed!Taipei · 27.3km from Taoyuan

The 91st-floor outdoor observation deck, open periodically, provides an open-air viewing experience at an altitude of 440 meters. Visitors can take a high-speed elevator from the 5th floor to the 89th floor in just 37 seconds. The observation deck also includes a close-up demonstration area where visitors can observe the overall operation of the damping system. Soar above the city and enjoy breathtaking views of Greater Taipei from the fully transparent Crystal Cabin. Gaze at the distant mountain scenery or look down to admire the passing landscapes below. For an even more spectacular experience, take an evening ride to witness Taipei's dazzling night views, including the iconic Taipei 101. The Maokong Gondola has a total of four stations in order: Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and Maokong Station. The entire journey takes approximately 17 minutes. The gondola connects to the Maokong mountain area, offering a bird's-eye view of the entire Maokong attraction from the cable car. Taking the cable car usually involves waiting in line, with separate queues for the standard cabin and the Crystal Cabin. The Crystal Cabin features a fully transparent reinforced glass floor, allowing passengers to admire the mountain views above and the breathtaking scenery below. The Maokong tea plantations resemble miniature landscapes, with neat rows of tea bushes arranged like terraced fields, creating a spectacular sight. Founded in 1908, the Taiwan Museum is a historic museum in Taiwan. Located in Taipei City's Zhongzheng District, the Taiwan Museum boasts a unique blend of classical and modern architecture, making it one of the few cultural assets in Taiwan to retain its original Japanese colonial style. The museum has long been dedicated to the collection and exhibition of natural history, anthropology, and Taiwanese history, serving as a valuable window into Taiwanese culture. The Taiwan Museum boasts a rich collection of natural specimens, including mammals, birds, insects, minerals, and plants. Through carefully curated permanent exhibitions, the museum allows visitors to explore Taiwan's diverse geology and ecological environments. It serves as a key hub for school nature studies and parent-child education. The museum also actively preserves and showcases Taiwan's historical development, with exhibits covering indigenous culture, the history of Han Chinese immigration, colonial artifacts, and the transformations of modern society. These exhibitions help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the historical context and cultural integration of Taiwan's diverse ethnic groups. In addition to the main museum, the Taiwan Museum also features branches such as the Ministry of Railways, the Paleontological Museum, and the Nanmen Museum, covering railway culture, paleontological fossils, and the history of Qing Dynasty city gates. Each branch has its own unique characteristics, yet they connect with each other, allowing visitors to gain a comprehensive understanding of Taiwan from different perspectives. The museum regularly hosts guided tours, lectures, parent-child workshops, and cultural seminars to promote public education and cultural participation. Whether visiting as a school group, a family holiday, or for personal exploration, visitors are guaranteed to gain a wealth of knowledge and inspiration. The Taiwan Museum is more than just an exhibition space; it's a part of Taipei's urban memory. It bears witness to over a century of Taiwan's cultural evolution and symbolizes the importance of preserving and inheriting local history. A stroll through its doors is more than just a museum visit; it's a cultural journey across time and space.Taipei · 22.6km from Taoyuan

The venue was safe, and the facilities were age-appropriate for young children. The kids were incredibly excited to see Qiaohu (a popular children's cartoon character). The activities were interactive and educational, and even adults wouldn't get bored playing with them – it was a wonderful parent-child activity.

Booking online was smooth and easy. Compared to 7 years ago, Taipei 101 has added nice indoor photo areas, making it more fun than just looking at the view! However, my 6-year-old son had to pay full price because he is taller than average, which felt a bit pricey. Overall, a good experience with nice upgrades!

A museum in a very beautiful location and a building with a story. Carefully tells the story of the small island's vicissitudes of life, flowers, birds, fish and insects. Whether it is children or adults, coming here is a good experience. Outside is the 228 Memorial Park, which is rich in greenery and full of fun.

Such a wonderful and affordable attraction for families with young children! 🐼🦒❤️Taipei Zoo is huge, with so many different animals to see and explore! The admission fee is incredibly reasonable, making it a great place for families to spend a few hours without breaking the bank. It’s definitely worth setting aside enough time to explore, especially when visiting with little ones, as there’s quite a bit of walking involved.Highly recommended for families travelling to Taipei with kids! 😊
