Campo Internacional Maspalomas
Don’t be put off by previous reviews! A lovely complex of bungalows, friendly staff, clean & well furnished. We stayed for 10 days and had a suite with roof terrace over looking golf course ..,, the rooms are perfectly well equipped for a nice modern but no frills apartment. Not equipped to cater a full on dinner party but had a kettle, microwave, electric ring - cutlery, glasses, Plates for 3 , couple of pans. . Toiletries provided in the bathroom. Maid service more than adequate & most days . Towels changed as & when needed. Pools & the area around was well kept, clean & always sun beds available what ever time of day you went ( no towel hogging) Pool bar food / snacks good & can be take out to room. Main areas & grounds recently refurbished. Staff all were friendly & helpful. The let down of the complex is the restaurant area is rather dated looking & didn’t really entice you in to dine there ( we were room only ) so can’t comment on Buffet. No supermarket / mini market on site … Shame but a small one about 10 mins walk away for bread, milk, juice , fresh meats & cheese etc. It is remote from maspolomas - we would not have attempted to walk in in evenings as unlit roads and I would say 45 minutes not very pleasant walk - but it’s 7/8 euros in taxi each way - reception will call one and they arrive within a couple of mins . We enjoyed the stay - would recommend as long as aware of location. For a Quiet, friendly . Relaxing week ticked most of the boxes! .

I had already been on the site, I was in a semi-discutting state, cleaning, staff, facilities, food, everything was quite depressing, but I decided to return because I saw some photos of his new look and surprise!!! , parked where there was previously dirty floors, mampara in the showers where there were previously plastic gardens with moho, microwave, toaster, TV without a need to pinch coins, free WiFi and something important, air conditioning that works, The pool was unrecognizable, the restaurant is not yet open but I realize breakfast is served in the pool bar, people working there, very friendly and careful, in the end, You see that there are other management and that are investing in the complex that has so much potential, congratulate!!!!

Where do I start with this hotel, myself and my husband booked 7 nights for our anniversary, we were not expecting too much but were still massively disappointed. The hotel has potential to be a really lovely place with amazing views. Unfortunately, our view from our room was a mountain wall with graffiti on. We arrived at reception and whilst waiting to be booked in a guest was there complaining they had mice in their room (AGAIN!!), as you can imagine this wasn't a great first impression. The food was poor quality with little choice, the grill area was far too small for the size of the hotel, the atmosphere was non existent, no music around the pool, and staff were miserable and rude; in fact, a guest decided to play their own music around the pool and was told off by the staff despite it being quiet. I had read previous reviews that hotel staff are rude and I thought well the guests must be rude to them first but trust me, this was not the case here. They are just rude and miserable. The entertainment staff were terrible and only interacted with the Spanish speaking guests. Getting around the hotel is incredibly difficult as there are so many steps so anyone with mobility issues should definitely avoid. Fortunately, this isn't our situation, however, we still struggled with the sheer volume of steps. We spoke to people who did have limited mobility and they had been put on 6th floor even though they had paid and requested to be on the ground floor. Our room was only cleaned once throughout our entire stay and we had to ask for fresh towels, the bathroom was not cleaned at all. We also had glass on the floor upon arrival, presumably from previous guests that had not been cleaned properly. The hotel apparently used to be two hotels that they have recently merged into one, which makes sense as it is very disjointed, it took us 20 minutes to find our room as its so big and poorly signed, with no help from staff. This hotel is supposed to be a 4 star however, I am utterly perplexed as to how this has been rated so highly. Definitely would not come back, very disappointed.

Campo Internacional Maspalomas
For us this place was amazing. We were in need of a good rest as we both have stressfull jobs. Probably not ideal for someone who wants to party but perfect for familes. My daughter could go by herself to the room (house) and because the room door is locked by a code mechanism we never had the problem of, not working cards, loosing cards /keys or the sharing issue. The pool was amazing, with lots of space for everyone to sit down and enjoy the sun. You don't see the rush to grab your sit before they ended, what was a relief as we could sleep a little bit more and go straight to the breakfast. The staff was as lovely as it can be. You could see they where working and running but always with a smile and 5 minuts to talk to you, so you will definitely feel welcome. We as a family wanted to thank particular to Isabel, the bartender, she was always amazing even my little one, who is particulary shy gave her a smile and a wave, what is saying a lot. My wife was particulary happy with her drinks, me also of course. We don't want the other bar staff to be left out as they all made us feel happy to go there and grab a drink. I even made a discover of -rum mel- the other bartender (girl not shure about her name (so Sorry)) made me try, and was a win win for me. Also the Director, Samuel, that you can see running around grabbing plates and helping around, what you don't see as frequently. He is always starting conversations and making sure all is up and everyone is enjoying the time. He tries to learn all his guests and preferences, even his way of being grabbed a smille or two from my daugher who he so lovely called ”senhorita” and she enjoyed so much. The food is good and is amazing that they offer us so much variety we never had to eat the same twice. Fresh salads every day and cheese, oh! the cheese. The only issue was that they were having dificulty keeping all cold, specially the ice cream and the fruit, but still good enough for consumption (we are being picky at this moment). Just one small detail, will be the wifi, not great and it skips a bit from now and then, with kids and teenagers this can be tricky but nothing problematic. Over all our experience is nothing short of a 5 star. For someone still reading this far, this is not from the hotel, as they are independent workers, but do not, I repeat, do not book the the therapist, I am not even sure he is proper trained. It was the worst, and I mean it, the worst experience. As a former therapist and Spa manager from several 5 star hotel in London, I would never hire him. He left me with bruises on my neck and did'nt even tried to treat my issues. In a more technical words it was 60 minutes of aflorages to my back. Disgusting. To all the Hotel Staff Thank you so much for taking care of us.
