Apartments in Nice

I stayed in this hotel last week with my 81 year-old mother. I liked the location of the hotel and the initial impressions was quite favourable. Unfortunately, this is where it ends. Having booked a twin room, we ended up with a double bed. After enquiring wether this could be changed I was promised another room which I looked at but which also had a double bed. I then decided to stay in the original room because the receptionist did not know which rooms were made up as double or twin. She then promised to send someone the following day at a precise time to change the bed. The morning come and went. Nothing happened. I then contacted reception again, which did not know about anything. The day went by and finally in the late afternoon 2 grumpy women turned up, clearly causing them more work, and changed the bedding. The kitchen is modern and has a lot fo good features, but cheap and uncoordinated cutlery, no knives to cut anything decent. The 2 glasses were so small you could almost call it a shoot glass. Just a shame to have a fully functioning kitchen without much equipment to use. The bathroom is small and functional, but the main issue here is the height of the bath tub. How can anyone of a smaller statue even get in??? Not much room to put your toiletries either. Storage seems to be a general problem in the room as well since there is a wardrobe for hanging clothes but not really any storage space for folded clothes in easy reach. The carpet is dirty. There are no reading lights next to the bed and no lights close enough to the table. It was a very dim affair eating your dinner. There was a sign saying you cannot use the balcony for sitting outside or hanging things up. Why even have a balcony I wonder?? What makes me really negative is, that the hotel randomly charged my credit card which is just discovered today. Let´s see when I will get my refund. I am very disappointed with the lack of care and interest of the place.

Reception was shocking, everytime we needed assistance the wait was long and customer service not good, no one could be bothered. Small bar not a problem but no stock not even ice. The indoor pool was a good size but guest were allowed to walk in and out through the dining area wet with no shoes on straight into the lift. There seemed to be a lot of young people and familes being housed there, again not a problem but there was no hotel experience or service for the paying guest. The rooms were really nice and clean lots of space but the night we arrived one guest had been beaten up and had to be attended to by paramedics and police. Not sure how they got in as needed key card to enter lift. The saving grace for me was the roof terrace and pool, good space, lovely pool and the fact that were english and the weather was hot for us we had the whole area to ourselves as it was to cold for everyone else. The train runs almost directly behind the hotel which is cheap and a good way to travel in and out of the center. I would not stay here again.

If you're on a budget and content with simplicity, then this is your pad while visiting Nice. I stayed for 5 nights as a tourist and didn't place my expectations too high, so I was satisfied and spending little money fit my needs rather than staying at a fancy or luxurious hotel. Mind you: this is not a hotel so housekeeping (cleaning, change of sheets and towels) is done only once a week (or not at all if you stay for less). There was everything I needed in this small room: a comfy bed, a desk with chair and small TV (French channels only), a small wardrobe, shower with toilet and sink, small cooking facility (crockery, microwave, sink, stove), a small table. The cutlery was rather shabby and primitive though, and the bathroom smelly. The first three floors were under refurbishment so there is hope for improvement. I must say the staff is very friendly and helpful, always cheerful. I wanted a kettle as well as a a lid for the pot (it seems it was missing) and I was given both immediately upon request. What I liked most is that the Appart'City is located literally around the block of a main bus station hub, and just a minute walk from the metro station Vauban. Nice is not very large so you can cover most of it by foot. It took me a pleasant 25 min. stroll to the port and beach, and likewise to the town centre. I still found it expensive considering that I chose one of the cheaper options around this area... but that's France for you, and a tourist destination at the beginning of June, no less!

The service of the hotel is very good. The surrounding environment is also good! Only a few dozen meters from the beach. However, the internal environment is relatively poor, and the sound insulation is not good. The sound of the light rail on the street outside is very noisy, and the sound of the indoor refrigerator is also very noisy. The whole building smells of smoke. I booked a non-smoking room, but there are still Heavy smoke smell. We also changed rooms halfway due to power problems. In short, I feel like I haven't slept well for days!

I stayed three nights in this Residhome; we had a very large room, with a bedroom and a sofa bed. Positive sides: well furnished, we had a terrace, the kitchen is rich in stove, it has a refrigerator, a freezer, the kitchen floor and a washing machine (which doesn't wash well, we had to buy the dishes soap to clean them well) It has a large terrace at the top floor, with beds to take the sun and chairs; when you arrive at the deck, they leave you the key and a code to open the door after 10 a.m. because there is no one on the desk to open. Negative sides? The very poor cleaning, the floor was dirty and dust-fused, behind our bed sofa were papers and deodorants of other people before us; the stoves were not clean, almost all dirty and fingers-fused. At your arrival they also leave you a sheet where they write that if you do not wash the kitchen not included in the cleaning price, they charge you from €36 to €45 for the penalty. Parking? Force by them, they write on the site that there is a place out on the street but it is not true, always full, so forcely €15 per night. In addition they pay you the stay fee of €1.50 but that is right. At the front desk you don't understand whether they speak English or not, some people understand no bho. Would I come back here? I don't think, I prefer to spend more next time and have free parking.

New residence, very clean. Welcoming and helpful staff. The accommodations with balconies face south with a view of the pedestrian square. The other buildings (mainly offices) obstruct the noise from the nearby airport. Slightly limited crockery equipment; fridge too small, you have to do the shopping often. Far from the beaches and the city center, you have to take tram line 2 to get there (nearest beach Carras 10 minutes by tram, less busy than those in the center); city ​​center 25 - 30 min by tram. Close to transport: new Nice-St Augustin station (TER to Cannes / Antibes / Grasse / Nice city / Monaco / Menton) 300m away; “Grand Arénas” tram stop 300m away; Bus station for the west of the department (Cannes, Grasse, Antibes, hinterland) 500m away. No nearby business; the nearest supermarket is 600m away, Phoenix Park next door. ”Interparking nouvelle'R” parking nearby, but not very practical for SUVs and larger cars due to narrow passages.

It was a really great hotel, except for the fact that for some reason I couldn't use USB charging, and the only bath supplies (amenities) were shampoo and body soap! ! I was able to spend a very comfortable time in both the location and the apartment hotel! It's close to the beach and the city center, so definitely check it out!

An extremely memorable accommodation experience. The owner was very enthusiastic and explained to us the local attractions and food in Nice, and helped us carry our suitcases upstairs. You can totally believe its 4.9 rating! We booked a larger room for the last two nights, and they took the initiative to arrange our first two nights in the same room. The room was very clean and warm, with a kitchen for cooking. We used the refrigerator and microwave in the room, which were very convenient. It was a bit cold at first, but the temperature quickly rose after turning on the air conditioner. It is worth mentioning that the quilt provided in the room is very comfortable. I really want to know how to buy the same quilt!

29 September - 7 October, 9 nights We had the most lovely, relaxed, well-cared-for stay at this hotel. The location is close to Le Gare Nice-Ville, so it’s very easy to take the train to Villefranche-sur-Mer, Monaco, and any other locations along the Côte d’Azur. Parking is at the shopping centre just a couple of blocks away where you can also find a variety of shops, groceries, patisseries, and Nicholas - the local wine merchant. In front of the shopping centre are the trams that go to Old Town and the Promenade. The neighbourhood has a variety of restaurants as well as the Monoprix where you can easily pick up some tasty antipasto, salads and seafood to bring back to the apartment. We enjoyed a very generous breakfast on the terrace downstairs that was provided and cooked by Emma and Corina. The muesli was delicious with yoghurt and strawberries. The basket of baguette, croissant, pain-au-chocolate was so nice. Scrambled eggs were so creamy, moist and delicious! Emmas adds some Herbs de Provence, Corina adds basil. Both were so good! The Lamartine apartment - I picked this one because I loved the colours in the living room (that velvet couch, gorgeous floral pillows!) , the kingsize bed (very comfortable! I can suffer back aches, but never had one here) and the little terrace we could sit on to have a drink at night after our day of touring Nice and various cities on the beautiful coast. The warm hospitality, efficient service and generous spirits that we experienced made us feel very much at home. Thanks to Julien, Emma and Corina for making our stay so memorable.

The hotel is on the side of the road, so parking is not convenient, the breakfast is very poor and there is nothing to eat. It is recommended to buy breakfast at the bakery opposite. The hotel towels and bath towels are changed for a fee of ten days before being given a free replacement. Throw, there is a non-stick pan in the room, but it ’s unhealthy to cook in Chengdu. It ’s very unhealthy to cook. The number of guests staying in the hotel is very strict.
