The Mint Hotel 84 gets the basics right with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service staff. My room was a standard double with a queen bed, it had everything I needed including a desk, coffee maker, and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was cleaned promptly every day. The breakfast spread in the dining area had a variety of options including cereals, toast, fruit, pastries, and eggs. The food was of average quality and freshness, nothing exceptional but sufficient to start the day. The service staff at the front desk and concierge were pleasant, helpful, and efficient whenever I had questions. They provided recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel has an outdoor pool and fitness centre, although I did not use the fitness centre during my stay. The hallways and public areas were well maintained and clean. Overall, the Mint Hotel 84 provides good, no-frills accommodations in a convenient location for exploring Katherine. The price point is fair for the quality you get, making it a solid choice for standard business or leisure travel.

I have just stayed there for 8 nights and had major reservations when reading the reviews. I’m happy to report that my stay was fantastic. That staff were great. The internet was quick and stable. The towels were clean and fluffy. The water pressure was strong and the apartment was clean. I’m glad I trusted my instincts and gave them a chance. A very nice stay indeed. Well done!!!

During our recent stay at the hotel, my expectations were unfortunately not met, largely due to what I found to be significant oversights and, at times, concerning behavior from some members of the hotel staff. As someone who has had the privilege of traveling to over 76 countries and has been a guest at numerous top-tier hotels worldwide, I believe I have a comprehensive understanding of the standards that one should anticipate from establishments that pride themselves on excellence in hospitality. The experiences that stood out during my stay were not in line with these standards. From the onset, the reception was less than warm. While I understand that everyone can have an off day, in the hospitality industry, it's paramount to ensure that guests feel welcomed and valued. Regrettably, this was not the impression I received. Further, there were several operational glitches that marred the experience. For instance, our room service orders were either delayed significantly or mixed up on more than one occasion. Additionally, basic amenities that one would expect to be replenished daily, such as toiletries and towels, were often overlooked. These might seem like minor issues in isolation, but when combined, they paint a picture of a system that is not functioning as seamlessly as it should be. Moreover, during our interactions with the hotel staff, there were instances where their behavior left a lot to be desired. Professionalism, in my opinion, extends beyond just performing one's job duties—it encompasses how one communicates, addresses concerns, and ensures that guests are having the best possible experience. On several occasions, when we raised concerns or made requests, the responses we received were either dismissive or lacked the necessary urgency. This was not only surprising but also disheartening, considering the reputation of the hotel. Furthermore, the general ambiance of the hotel did not resonate with the relaxing and refreshing experience one would expect. Whether it was the noise levels in the common areas, the upkeep of the facilities, or the lack of attention to detail in areas such as dining or leisure activities, the overall feel was that of a place that was not operating at its peak potential. Now, I do not write this review with the intention to disparage but to provide feedback that could be constructive. The foundation of the hospitality industry is built on the experiences and feedback of its patrons. While the physical aesthetics of a hotel play a role in its appeal, it's the intangibles—like service quality, staff behavior, and operational efficiency—that truly define a guest's stay. Given my extensive travels and experiences, I found the current state of affairs at this hotel to be notably different from the premier service I've grown accustomed to at other renowned establishments. It was a great stay. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile to ensure you have a pleasant and comfortable stay. The rooms were very clean and had everything required. The only things not provided were hairdryers and iron, the staff mentioned that those had been stolen in the past and its understandable that they no longer provide those. It was better than the pictures provided online. We stayed in the 3 bedroom which was 2 apartments with interleaving doors. They were very spacious. The rooms and bathrooms appear very luxurious however there are small updates that could really elevate the anesthetic such as the taps were lose on the sinks, areas of paint chipping off walls in the bathrooms, the sofa was a bit old and not very comfortable and the kitchen cupboard doors needed refurbishing. Otherwise excellent stay. I need to especially mention the lady working at the front desk who was extremely helpful in organizing a shuttle for us to the airport.

The Leonardo In a class of its own .. We spent four nights at The Leonardo in a two bedroom grand suite. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to be greeted by warm friendly staff and a beautiful reception area and lounge. The art work throughout the property is stunning and adds to the general feeling of being in a high end establishment. There was initially some mix up with our booking but Penelope was very helpful and made sure that we were able to check in without any delay. After our Moet&Chandon welcome drink we were taken to our well appointed suite which had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Al La Carte breakfast was very high quality (although slow to arrive at times) and had enough choice for everyone. Presentation was top notch and we left the hotel each morning feeling very satisfied and ready for the days adventures. Overall, this is a gorgeous hotel in an excellent location. It is made even more homely by the attentiveness of the staff who are alway on hand to make sure that no needs go unmet. Great location, safe and conveniently near a lot of locations. Swimming pool and area are great places to relax and unwind if you need to get out of the apartment. Enough parking space and cars are also safe.
